I played last night for the first time in a week.  My shoulder hurts like hell, not good.  The more I work on the pc the worse my shoulder hurts.  sigh...

I played OK, I won the court but it was a lower court.  Still had fun though.  I play tomorrow.  Makes me nervous with the shoulder but we will see how it goes.

I want to give u a little tip to avoiding most of the soreness following tennis.... If you eat something w/ high sugar concentrate (i.e. a candy bar, skittles, or anything that pleases ur sweet-tooth) within 30 minutes after excessive physical activity, you wont feel as torn up. I read it in some health magazine.. just thought I'd share...

I have been reading your entries, sorry for the l.ack of replies.  Hectic around here!!!

I eat sugar a ton, but usually at work, not after matches...  I am going to start using the mouse left handed 1/2 the time and see see if it helps at all.

I played Thursday night and yesterday morning.  Both times were doubles.

Thursday stunk.  I shanked a lot of balls, but I had only played 2-3 time in the last 4 weeks, so I was rusty.  I still won, whew..

Yesterday was far better.  Everything was cleaning up nicely.  No shanks, I hit most serves back effectively and I volleyed well.  No complaints.  Tonight is a USTA match.  I have not played USTA for a few weeks so I am anxious to get back!

Good call BB, because we tore it [b]UP![/b]

My partner and I played top court last night against two guys who are pretty solid.  They do not over power you but they just do not miss.  Well, unless you crush every shot and jump all overwhatever they hit back.  Because that is exactly what we did last night.  We won 6-1, 6-3.  We both played very well making so few unforced errors.  I kept us in some points with some great gets with speed and my partner kept us in some points with some unreal volleys he had no business getting a racquet on.  Awesome stuff...

Well, we’ve both subbed in the same league now about 3 times in the last week and a half and somehow we have managed to avoid each other.  You paying someone off??

Hey, when you “got down and dirty” on that low forehand volley I gave you that hearty “nice volley Scott” bellow from 2 courts away.  Yep, I am subbing in for Dan S again. Maybe this will be the week we get to slug it out.

Soooooooooo, no entry from either you or OSU about your Sunday USTA match (maybe you didn't play).  Does this mean that you lost?  We know you only tell us about your easy wins.  

I take that back.  I saw you make a couple of very nice shots in doubles on Saturday so that proves me wrong (that you only tell us about "good stuff".)  That rifle forehand down the doubles alley was sweet.

Oh, I did not lose.  I got killed...  Vaughn and I played a guy who is super fun to play, but is in the wrrrrrrooooooooong league.  The dude was tough.  He doesn't out power you, but the depth of his shots, the placement and the consistancy was unreal.  He had good pace, it just wasn't overwhelming.  VIC and I were laughing after a few points, we just could not hurt them.  We lost 2-6, 1-6.  Worst we have ever lost in USTA, ever.  I didn;t land too many first serves, but even when I did they just spanked them back.  Overall, we were just out played this week.  Complete roll reversal from last week.
