You better start running those "suicides".  They hurt but they sure do help at 5-5 in the 3rd set in July.  With my bad knee I can't do a lot of running for conditioning but I do stepper machines and stationary bikes as much as possible.  Conditioning is absolutley CRITICAL for singles.

Sulk here all you want, I am glad you found us!  I am in Ohio and we are under a level 2 snow emergency.  Most places are closed.  I am just working from home today.  Welcome to the forums!!!

Well, I'm partially happy, because I'm staying home from school, but watching the cover of white outside on the grounds, it's like I'm in Antarctica. I would have rather went to school and played tennis afterwards, than suffer this crushing snow. Don't know how I can practice tennis without playing tennis.

I wish I was motivated enough to do the running and stuff...

I'm not gonna be on the team this year so I don't really care that much. I'm just playing to preserve my sexiness ;)

You can get a petiton signed by all the members on T4U and send it your mom to convince that she should let you go and play on the team.

Damn, I missed that last sentence before yo.  Sorry your mom will not let you play.  Has she cut you off from other tennis as well for a certain amount of time?  Or just no tennis for HS?

Well, I she literally has NOT spoken to me since the day I got in trouble for the thing like 2 weeks ago. So I assumed that I couldn't play on the team b/c that's just how my mom is and she never cares what I think. But, she doesn't konw that I have tennis class at school, so I get to play like everyday. I just wish I was on the team b/c I know I would have done well. We had our first meet yesterday (maybe the day before) and I was so sad/mad the whole time I was watching them play....
But everything happens for a reason..... it just wasn't meant to be.

On a more serious note, your mom hasn't expressly forbidden you from the team. GO for it. C'mon bro, it's now or never. Win your mom over, if you can't, then try use the power of logic- tell her how tennis will help you get into college, keep your mind off of girls blah, blah. If that doesn't work, go for broke. Tell her if she doesn't let you try out you will start smoking drugs, that oughtta catch her attention.
 P.S. Don't actually smoke drugs. Just tell her you will.

lmao... It goes beyond just her "allowing" me to play. She has to take me to get my physical examination and she hasn't given the least bit inclination of doing so.... And if I said I was gonna do drugs, she would just be like "go ahead, it's ur life"

And I am not overexagerating. You don't know my mom. I've tried talking to her, and I even wrote a letter to her.... she wouldn't read it. The only reason I don't peace-out from her is b/c there's nowhere for me to go. ;)

lol....It's like PE, but tennis instead of like basketball. There's a member from the school team in that class, so I just play w/ him everyday...

Threaten to call child services, and make up bruises and marks on your face, that oughtta get her attention. Is she doesn't give you attention, call child services anyway, telling your mom is ignoring you. She WILL TALK on the phone.
