2pm w/ Scott, OSU and Chuck H

6:30pm w/ Mark M, Mark L, and Bernie

I won't be able to walk on Monday, when our team has its first match. Our team consists of osu, scott, jeffro, vic, chuck r, me, chuck h..we have a nice team but there are many 5.0's in this league so we'll have our hands full

Yeah. MM just called and like you, I couldn't say no. I don't know how I will be able to get going again late.

sun. afternoon lost 6 & 5 to scott and osu. chuch h was my partner

sun night...lost 5 & 5 to ml - bb; mark m was my partner....knee was shot and i just wanted it to be done

He has been away from here but I called him and he is indeed taking the night off. This allows CH back in the line-up which he wanted I am sure.

Knee feels much better after taking a night off.

I talked to Jeffro last night and our team won! woo hoo! I think the default that Scott and I won by was the clincher

There is a big junior (18s) event at our club and I got to watch OSU's #1 recruit in action. Very very tall kid with a rocket serve and forehand.

Went to the club and rode the bike for 40 minutes....HARD!!!!! after i finished and went upstairs, there was a junior boys 18s tourney going on and one of the kids came in early for his match and asked me to "warm him up

." We "hit" for 30 minutes like mad dogs. I was completely spent and dripping afterwards, while the lad proceeded to go to his match. Ahhh to be 18 again. This kid beat Willy (one of our mon nite regulars) like a dog in his last match. i got to hit about a million balls and the knee felt GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!! i was pumped....51 yrs old in days and hanging with an 18 yr old stud. He was a nice kid and complemented the old man a few times. I know when he walked on the court with me he was thinking, "i hope this old fool can hit a couple of balls back to me". I think he was pleasantly surprised.

Don't know his name......Neil something or other. Plays or played at Wellington HS and is of Indian / Pakistani origin. He looked like a shorter and younger version of Vijay Armitraj

Rick and I played to a 6-6 tie tonight. Rick then told me he didn't have time for a 2nd set so "let's play it out." I lost 8-6. Today was weird in that we both made a number of good shots but we also both made some bad errors. I broke him first game (last week I never broke him) and he broke me back when I served at 4-3. My biggest disappointment was when he was serving at 1-3 and I had a break point to go up 2 breaks and didn't capitalize.

Starting 7/23 I will be ridiculously busy w/ tennis....WV Open then the district crap. So, I will gear up in early July.
