Good to hear the foot showed some improvement.  Probably helps to not run quite as much and hit some drills!
Good Luck on the Court!!!

Were were hoping you were gonna show.
I was at this casino minding my own business, and this guy came up to me and said, "You're gonna have to move, you're blocking a fire exit." As though if there was a fire, I wasn't gonna run. If you're flammible and have legs, you are never blocking a fire exit.  - Mitch Hedberg

I have BIG >50 4.5 USTA match in an hour.  We're tied with the team we are playing and this is for all the marbles.  Then tomorrow AM I leave for the WV Open where I am playing 45 doubles and attending our college tennis team reunion.  Looking forward to a great time.

Last Wed we lost out league match when my partner had to retire at 4-1 down....hurt his back and couldn't move or bend...not a good combo.

Just got home from WV (WV Open) an hour ago.  My partner and I were not seeded but we WON the 45's doubles :thumbs-up:  We beat the #3, #2, and #1 seeds in succession!  The last 2 matches we beat Ted B and his partner in the semis in straight sets, then when we beat the #1 seeds, one of the guys was seeded 3rd in open singles.  The last 2 matches was about the best I have played in 20 years.  I am absolutely stoked right now.  To play that way again.....ahhh man I am speechless.  Thanks to Scott and jeffro for getting me ready.

Sweet, I heard you took down Becker.  I bet I primed him well for you when I told him last year your were playing 4.0.  He probably underestimated you.  :)~

Thanks Scott.
6-4 6-3 was the final.  We were down 4-3 and a break in the 1st and lost 3 more games the rest of the way.

I haven't been out here in a while so I will summarize.  Thru July I was playing some of my best tennis ever.  I won a big USTA doubles tourney at the WV Open in 45 doubles.  In the process I / we took out a player I had never beaten before (Ted B) in the semis and in the finals we beat a 5.0 nationally ranked 50s player.  Then i won 2 events in a local County tourney (in 1 we had a competitive final over Scott and Jon).  I went to the districts and won both my matches although the team stunk up the place.  Now I am in rest mode for a neuroma in my foot.  I limped around the last 2 tourneys pretty much.  Now in a couple of hours I am heading to freebird's birdcage for the t4u reunion get together.  Babble's in town and I saw my paisano brother already today.

Played in a weak 45s doubles tourney over weekend....
lost 5 games in 4 sets.....not worthy of commenting a lot about ...beat Dave G and Randy S 1 & 2 in finals.....Jon and I beat the same duo in a 3rd set tb 2 weeks ago in semis of another tourney...obviously my partner this time was perty gud

foot - no better / no worse

A neuroma is a thickening of nerve tissue that may develop in various parts of the body. The most common neuroma in the foot is a Morton's neuroma, which occurs at the base of the third and fourth toes. It is sometimes referred to as an intermetatarsal neuroma. "Intermetatarsal" describes its location - in the ball of the foot between the metatarsal bones (the bones extending from the toes to the midfoot). Neuromas may also occur in other locations in the foot.

The thickening, or enlargement, of the nerve that defines a neuroma is the result of compression and irritation of the nerve. This compression creates swelling of the nerve, eventually leading to permanent nerve damage.

Any chance that's a footwear issue that can be easily corrected?  :fingers crossed:

I hope so but I don't have a lot of faith.
