The last week or 2 is the best it has felt since January.  It still has a ways to go, but I am now optimistic for the first time.  The last 2 times out I have some slice serves close to 90% and the kicker around 95%.  I am still leery of blasting the flat one tho.  I will wait a bit and maybe give it a shot in a couple of weeks if it keeps progressing.
I was at this casino minding my own business, and this guy came up to me and said, "You're gonna have to move, you're blocking a fire exit." As though if there was a fire, I wasn't gonna run. If you're flammible and have legs, you are never blocking a fire exit.  - Mitch Hedberg

With your nasty serve you do not need to blast the flat one yo!

Sat.  ---I played in the same awful grp as Scott.  I played with a decent player against 2 guys with a combined rating of maybe 7.8.  I was in a bad mood cuz my partner showed up 30 min late and I was in a sucky mood the entire time.  I actually played ok but my partner double faulted about 15 times (5 in 1 game and we won that game  :rofl_2:).  Did I say he was a decent player  :confused1:.  We led 6-2 5-2, up 2 brks and won 6-2 7-6 ...mama mia.

He was 20 minutes late.  Your anger just made it seem like 30 minutes.  :)

ok let's say I give in to yuor 20, by rule that is a default.  0-5 min late = 1 game and loss of toss; 5-10 min = 2 games and loss of toss; 10-15 min = 3 games and loss of toss; 15 min and 1 sec = default.  I HATE TARDINESS!!!!!!!  One of my pet peeves; in life as well as on a tennis ct  :mad1:

The word "Tardiness" just makes me laugh, JimD.  Seriously...totally laughing here.  TARDI-NESS.   :rofl_2:

Totally rude to be late tho.  Had a gal on the Pickerington circuit I was involved in this Summer who showed up just as we were finishing warm-up...she sauntered up to the courts at Central ...in her work clothes...and she was like "I'm hurrying."  And yet, she WASN'T!  She wasn't even on my court and I wanted to suckerpunch her.  :paper bag:

Tonight I received the Umpire of the Year award presented by the Greater Columbus Tennis Association (GCTA). I want to thank Art Haus and Mark Anderson for nominating me; I want to thank Vincent A Solomon and Paul Rowley for mentoring me; and i want to thank my beautiful daughters Jennifer D'Lynn D'Innocenzo and Bethany for attending the banquet. I was humbled.

Thanks Big E!  I don't want any part of a circus like Serena.

My ITA (college tennis) schedule began tonight with a women's match between Ohio State and Dayton.  Ohio State won by a mile.  I chaired third doubles (OSU won 8-0) and 6th singles (OSU won 6-0 6-0)
Tomorrow it gets REAL...Mens match between #3 Ohio State and 16th ranked Mississippi State.  This should be an awesome match between NCAA powerhouses.

Feb 4 I will be in the chair for the Ohio State - Syracuse women's match.  Why am I telling you this?  Syracuse is coached by Luke Jensen.  Hopefully Luke will be gentle with me.   ://

I am sure he will be able to make that determination soon enough even without your input.
