Subbed in a doubles league last night but unfortunately Olivier Rochus (Scottie) was on court 6 while I was on court 7.  So, we did not get to knock heads (lucky for me, because my game stinks these days).  Playing once or twice a week, and on 1 leg….just can’t seem to get it together for some reason  :whistle: .  

I did invent a shot last night though and it got a nice laugh from Olivier.  It was garbage time (about 2 minutes left) and I served and volleyed and the return forced me to hit a half volley.  I proceeded to try a forehand, slice, inside out half volley and almost whiffed on it.  IF I had made that shot, the spin on it would’ve been insane and would’ve made the highlite reels.  Scott, you are going to hurt someone with that vicious overhead.

And Scott thinks he only swings at about 75% power on his overheads?????????????? :|
I told him it seems like he is swinging at about 120%!    Course, maybe it is the vicious scream/yell that he lets out that makes it seem like he is going to hurt someone!

Theones I miss I swing 75% and then you tell me to not swing so hard.  Besides, someone has to make up for the -25% speed you hit with.

YOWZA!  I do think that Olivier just insulted you Buckeye!  Oh well, it could be worse; he could’ve told you that you hit the ball like Jeffro!  ;)

Dear diary

the other night in doubles action, I was at the net for an easy overhead winner.  I proceeded to frame said ball and tap it at about 30 mph right back to the same guy who hit the same lame lob right back to me.  I proceeded to CRUSH/DESTROY/ANNIHILATE/ the ball and let out an OSUBuckeye banshee-like scream of "COME ONNN!!!!!!!!"  I even got a running chest bump from Scott who came flying over from the adjacent court!!!  Next week I hope to get a double chest bump.  Damn I love this game.

Last night I subbed in the infamous Thurs nite dbl league that Scott's always mentioning.  I have now played 2 times in 12 days and I am defintely tournament ready <NOT>!  I subbed for a guy on the THIRD best court so the competition was not shall I say....ferocious.  haha.  Nice guys though and it at least put a racket in my hand again.

It's Dec. 30, it's Ohio, and Jeffro and I just finished practicing for an hour OUTDOORS!!!!  This warm weather is insane but you can't complain about getting some "free" tennis in this time of year.
