Back in the day all I did was play tennis.  It was all I wanted to do, well, that and spend time with my girl friend.  I had more problems concentrating in school because I would just think of tennis.

Unfortunetly I no longer have "that problem"  :)

I say  - be your own person. If your friends do not understand that tennis is your passion then ... ... well are they really your friends? My daughter is 12 and has a love for basketball that is un matched. She practices / plays some sort of basketball 6 days a week. This is not counting early morning training runs, work out sessions, and practice shots. As a result she does not have that many close friends but she is her own person and doing what she loves.

hey kp i have the exact same problem as you my freinds want me to come out and i want to play tennis at the same time but lucky for me i have some understanding freinds and the way i got them to understand me is invite them to a really competitive situation then they will see how seriuos it is that you practise because if they are anything like my freinds they wont have a clue how competitive it is and how hard it is to make it when they saw me play it was a shock to there systems and now encourage me when i saw im going to play tennis
