Should Middle School Students have a Team?

I am a Middle school student wishing to have a school tennis team, what are your thoughts about this?

I used to coach high school tennis and the city I coached in wanted to put one together for the middle school. I think it would be a great idea. I believe it would strengthen the tennis talent as well as get kids involved earlier in other sports. I think it would be great! Even if they had just 5-6 matches per year.

Grass roots tennis is what we need more of in this country. That would give the sport the boost it needs.

What do you mean "grass roots tennis"? I assume you are not talkign about grass courts...

Haha. No I am not talking about grass courts. I should have phrased that better. I am talking about getting the kids involved at an early age (i.e. grade school and middle school programs); sort of like all the little leagues thay have in football, baseball and hoops.
