Holy Crap criers!, Mathieu is one gigantic a-hole; at least he was this day. I saw him in a tight 5 setter at 2004 USO and he didn't lead me to believe he would lose his freakin' mind and be a prick throughout an entire match. By contrast, Verdasco win's the Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award. Just an all around class act. Never acted like anything Mathieu did was out of order; never tried to show PHM up or complain. Just a really, really nice guy.

Contrary to kickserve's theory, however, I have my own. Since Verdasco is older, I think it goes the other way. Further, Verdasco is arguably worse about the positioning of the Evian bottles. It was hilarious.

To be honest this really doesn't surprise me. I didn't guess Mathieu, because I thought it was common knowledge he was a hothead. It was he and Mahut who nearly came to blows with Melo/Sa in that doubles match at Wimbledon.

I'm sure it was Benneteau playing with Mahut, wasn't it? I guess Mathieu losing from 2 sets up wasn't good for his temper. I've never thought of him as a hothead.

I'm sure it was Benneteau playing with Mahut, wasn't it? I guess Mathieu losing from 2 sets up wasn't good for his temper. I've never thought of him as a hothead.

Your tour begins in my hood on the east side of Paris, just a few stops east of Nation on the 9-train. Pass the Hotel De Ville and take in a sunset on the Seine … Dine, drink and dance in the Latin Quarter with my BFFs, Leslie and Veronica… Nothing beats an entire day "lost" in Paris … I likes me some biker chicks… A casual stroll through the quaint section called "Le Marais" then off to La Fleche D'or for an evening of live music… Pause for a beer before a night on Oberkampf Street . And to think, I come every year for the tennis.

Great pictures Babble and really cool to see that part of Paris too. Seems like you met a few people and had a great time with them. When you say its great to have a whole day lost in Paris- thats great for exploring and finding the different areas  but I'm the opposite to that as before I went I had studied loads of maps and need to know exactly where I'm going and my routes  I'm absolutely made up we both had such a fantastic time in Paris and at Roland Garros- with so many memories that we've both brought back

Don't be mistaken, I thoroughly and painstakenly planned my first trip and have an album with pictures similar to yours.    Trips 2 and 3 are merely the final destinations I had mapped out for the first but never made.

Don't be mistaken, I thoroughly and painstakenly planned my first trip and have an album with pictures similar to yours.    Trips 2 and 3 are merely the final destinations I had mapped out for the first but never made.   

lol- so its not just me then that plans every last detail when I go to a city- I hadn't been for around 12 years and was about 8 when I last went so wanted to see the main attractions and had to plan the trip myself, rather than rely on my parents being there as in the past. Maybe one day I'll do as you've done during the next visits, but before this trip I thought it would be around 20 years before I'd go back to Paris- since I have my list of 18 places I'll be visiting- but Paris and Roland Garros- and just how close I was able to get to the players and even getting to talk to a few of them was that good that I can't not go for 20 odd years, I'll have to go back well before then
