Showdown at 'The Borough' tonight!  Looks like half-pint will join our Wed. night league tonight!  Maybe we will have to roll myself and Scotty vs. MC & DW!  Good stuff!   Its always exciting to add Scotty to our usual Wednesday night mix!!!   :uh:

Interestingly, my lower back has been sore since Monday morning!  Maybe I slept funny but likely tennis Sat. and Sun. night had something to do with it????   :(

Just got back from playing with OSU.  We played pretty well.  We didn't return worth a squat in the first set, I was horrible.  Other than that we did pretty good.  OSU got broke on serve at 4-5 so we lost the first set 4-6.  2 close calls at 3-3 in 2 separate games could of easily won us the set but the calls did not go our way.  Weird stuff.

We got our act together in the next 2 sets and won 6-3, 6-2.  We returned better and stepped it up.  

I served out the second set, the game score was 5-3.  They hit two down the line winners in a row both off of my first serves to go up 0-30 in that game.  Then I think I missed a tough volley to go down 0-40.  We had a really long point that we won and then OSU hit a volley winner on the next point and then two unreturnables serves, set.

Fun stuff.

But, Rain and wind!   :(

Scott and I hit yesterday and it was proly 15-20 MPH winds with gusts that were much worse!  It was interesting to say the least!  Really hard to get any kind of normal rally going!  Makes you feel like much worse of a player than you really are!

I sometimes practice with Craig Smith of Wright State in the summers.  He got me in singles pretty easily but I got him back in doubles.

Yeah, didn't he play like Klingeman or someone and get spanked lat year!   I remember watching him play against OSU and it wasn't pretty for him!
