Played Sat. in the semis of the tourney against 2 teammates from indoor Winter USTA league tennis Mark L. and Bernie B.  BB was tired from previous matches and Jster and  played very solid to get them 6-4, 4-6, 6-0.  I must say it felt pretty good to tie that bagel on them.

Played the final Sun. against 2 more teammates from indoor Winter USTA tennis Mark M. and Jason R.   Jster and I again played very solid and took the tourney 6-3, 6-3!  It felt really good to play as well as we did.  None of them could return Jster's serve with enough consistency and we both returned very well all weekend.  Good stuff, thanks Jster!

Played today with Scott against Jster and Jeffro.  It was interesting as we were all in and out of playing solid tennis.  I was pretty sore from multiple days of tennis in a row but I loosened up after a while and played pretty solid.  Jeffro hit his usual handful of WTF shots.  They got us in 3 sets.  Good stuff, the elbow and knee and hip joints all could use a couple days off.

I don't even have any tennis planned at all.  The body is enjoying a couple days off.

We were rained out this morning!  :depressed:
I managed a soft indoor game yesterday but it was a mixed up  :confused1: sort of day on the whole.

Sadly, I am not missing it too much.  I guess I just needed a break from after the tourney.  Of course, if I didn't have other stuff to do then I would be on the court.

A couple of times, when we were in trouble, we talked about giving up, but then we remembered we had to make the T4U community proud, so we sucked it up!

We were not in trouble at any point in that tourney!   We came, we saw, we kicked their butts, and then ate their hot dogs!   ;-()

Played yesterday with Scott against Jster and Chuck H.  We got them 7-6 (8), 7-5.   I was happy with my game overall besides some brainless points in the 2cnd set.  My serve felt pretty solid although I don't think they returned great.  My return felt very solid for a good chunk of games except for off of Jster's serve of course..........I was lucky to get some of them back.  There were some very solid and fun points and the weather couldn't have been better.

Played a tourney match with Scott against two 4.0 (maybe) players Munsell R. and Nathan R.    They played pretty well at times and missed a fair share which you would expect for their level.  We did not play well unfortunately but we got the win 6-3, 6-4.  On to the next round where we will be playing 2 guys that are as good as us or maybe even better.  Time to step up.

Do you know the guys you play next?  It sounds like you do.  I think at least 1 of them played for UA HS.

The open singles draw is LOADED.  That's as good a draw as I've seen in a while.  #1 seed played for SMU last year.  I officiated a match he was in at a tourney and he is a super nice kid.  His dad always comes with him.

I have been telling everyone the same.  I am used to singles draws with around 15 players and this one has 23 or 24 and a handful or so of solid players!

Next we play W. Thiemen and D. Kahn.  DK played 4.5 recently and the other is the kid from UA who is supposed to be quite good.
