Well, he had 5.0 forehand and serve for sure.  Everything else seemed lacking.  Who knows though, maybe he was taking it easy on us.

His BH in warm-up was cash money as well although that is where we decided to go with almost all serves.  Don't remember well how his BH did in the match.

He missed a lot more backhands in the match on the return.  He seems lackadaisical on those returns, I remember mentioning that to you during the match.  He wasn't moving his feet at all.

Tourney starts tomorrow with Freebird in mens dubs at high noon!   Then mixed dubs with my friend at 3pm.  This should be fun........it is a smaller tourney that I have played in every year for about 15 years.

The outdoor tourney site was getting rain from about noon on.  We were supposed to play at noon.  Our opponents got us into a local club for the mens dubs.  They were older, one was quite decent Mark S.....I'd say solid 4.0 and his partner was more of a 3.5.  Freebird and I played the 3.5 player last year, Brad H. with a different partner.  We didn't play amazing but we won likely by a score that we were both quite comfortable with 6-2, 6-2. 

The mixed dubs match was supposed to be at 3pm but rain was going to hurt that one.  My partner Allison has mad connections to 2 local clubs but our female opponent did not want to play indoors?      This lady has quite the reputation for being difficult!      Now, as is we could easily be playing 2 mixed dubs matches tomorrow and 2 mens dubs matches tomorrow.  That is too much.  My body will be screaming at me if it goes down like that.  My hip is hurting now, but nothing major.  Allison and I hit some sweet drills after the mens dubs match.  Good day, now its time to hoss some serious vittles!  Can you say Cheesecake Factory?

Nice win on your first round!  I cannot stand it when tourneys schedule too many matches in one day.  I had to play 4 in Lancaster last year in one day (or was it only 3?) but it was absurd!  Eric was playing his 5th or 6th that day when I had to play him in mixed.  Just plain dumb.  Hope the hip holds up!

The lady is from Germany and is quite attractive so she is just either different or very used to getting her way on everything!  I heard she was complaining at the draw because "she didn't want to play that 5.0 OSU Buckeye guy"!       I guess she doesn't know tennis that well........or maybe just doesn't know me as well as she thinks.  The drama was unbelievable!  My partner Allison called this Berga to offer to play indoors so we could go ahead and play our match.  Berga at 1st said she thought they were going to default, then later said we don't want to play you guys inside but we will play you tomorrow outside.  And on and on and on.  4 different local players all had bad stories of her being difficult and I didn't search these stories out.  I just wanted to come and play some tennis.......I get enough drama with wifey, her horses, and the little one.  I guess that is what I get for playing mixed troubles!

I wasn't there yesterday. I will be there tonight though. Maybe I can take Sam Querry back to the airport after he dusts the doubles specialist.  
I'm not the biggest fan of Dell (he's one of the few who can be difficult on the volunteers), but I thought his speech was great. I think to day is definitely the age either disrespecting someone, or someone claiming to be hurt because they were disrespected. Ouch, I think I'll sue!

Its been a short while.  My partner Allison and I beat the German chick and her boyfriend 6-0, 6-4 in what turned out to be the final since the other solid team had to pull out due to troubles with the lady's mother.  Freebird and I didn't get to play our dubs final because our opponents weren't done with their semi.  That sucked but we are scheduled to play the final Sunday morning at 10am.

Played golf mon night on the back 9 holes.  I shot a 53 as I absolutely blew up on 2 holes................a snowman 8 on one hole and a 10 on the other hole.  The rest of the round was pretty decent.  I was beyond frustrated with the 2 holes.

Played a usta league match with Scott on tues. night.  We lost to Jim Cr. and Frank I. 5-7, 3-6 I think.  The serve felt better than normal as I was bending my knees more and getting that push up into the court better.  My return felt cash money in the 1st set.  The 1st set felt quite solid for me but that is where I felt my solid play ended.  Tough loss!
