But isn't Jdster basically playing on only one good foot?  :)~

The foot is much improved.  It ONLY took 9 months but I'm as healthy as I have been in a while (knocking on wood, since Scott's head isn't around).
I was at this casino minding my own business, and this guy came up to me and said, "You're gonna have to move, you're blocking a fire exit." As though if there was a fire, I wasn't gonna run. If you're flammible and have legs, you are never blocking a fire exit.  - Mitch Hedberg

Thanks cgw for throwing salt on my wounds!  Yes, this speaks for how good Jamesdster really is that he can whoop up on me and Scottie even while hobbled!

In my defense, he was OK when I played him.  However, he can pretty much make the score against me whatever he wants.  He just didn't want to embaress me too much.
Good Luck on the Court!!!

Dang, I was hoping to read about last night.  Nothing went our way at all.  They played well, we played sub-par but we kept it close.

Yeah, I don't have much good to say about last night.  Scott and I played against 2 of our other mates last night.  There were many good points last night but of course many that we need back.  We had 4 set points in the 2cnd set, 1 of which we didn't win while you were returning and the other 3 while I was returning.  Remembering this at the end of the night before we were done playing almost sent me into a full-blown melt-down.  They must have done something right on those 4 points or we really messed them up.  Do you remember the 4 points well?
Of course, I was not happy about us not having many more break chances throughout the night!  And, we played a few loose games while we were serving!  All of these things just can't be done in a highly competitive match....if you want to win!

I remember the (4) points.  (2) of which I had you take at 3-3.  I would much rather have you returning.  I believe you returned both too?

The first one was on DW's serve at 6-5 us.  3-3.  You hit the return in, a little shallow and high and you followed it in.  He hit a ficious forehand with tons of top right at your feet, you were unable to scoop it back.

The second was to me on MC serve and I did not get it back over the net.  The next two on MC to you, I think you returned both or at least 1.  Just wasn't our night.  We beat them last time, we will get them next time.
Good Luck on the Court!!!

Played with Scottie last night against 2 league mates.  I felt really good returning last night. I missed 1 return in the 2cnd set and 3-4 in the 3rd set.  And, that is against 2 of the better servers on our team.  Of course I have seen there serves many many times, but still.  Scott was running around like a mad-man last night!  There were a couple of points that he ran everything down they could hit against us.  It was quite riduculous, but hey, thats his strength!  We played extremely well in the second set with few errors!
I am supposed to play some doubles with the great Jamesdster tonight!  I am hoping he will confirm this as I heard it from someone else.
2 nights in a row after a long week away from playing....I don't know if I can handle this?  Maybe I will get to try to return Jster's unreturnable serve tonight!  Or, maybe I will get to play with him!

Played again last night!  It was fun but not as competitive as I am used to.  When you team up with Jamesdster there is a good chance you are gonna win easily!
I hit one of my top five shots ever!  :)     Our opponents got a lob over us and right as it went over my head I said aloud "here we go".  It was a soft lob so I was able to get up on it and return it between my legs!  I ended up hitting it right down the line, the dude even dove for it but barely couldn't reach it.  Between the legs clean winner....yeah, I was pumped!  They were all impressed and the guy on the adjacent court saw it and said that it was sensational!  You know you did something right if you impress Jamesdster!

2 nights in a row after a week off....my a$$ was sore when I got out of bed this morning!

That's right!  The OSUBuckeye and I dominated!  That tweener was sick!!!!  It was one of the greatest shots i've ever seen!  From the baseline (ad-side) running with his back to the net, he hit the doubles line on the ad-side on our opponents side.  It received applause from the doubles game going on on the ct next to us.

Speaking of tennis, nothing went down at all this weekend.  I assume you ladies will be out tomorrow night hitting, it will be nice to have Jeffro back in action!  I hope to fill in Wed or Thursday night in the Scarborough leagues.  I am sure one of them will need me this week.  Hopefully people are on vacation, I need to hit.  I haven't hit since last Wed.
Good Luck on the Court!!!

I guess Thursday was not really a hit since there was no competition.  :head-smack:
