I definitely am ready to play tomorrow night as it has been since last Thursday night for me as well!  Of course, would like to be playing more often, but Spring will be here in no time!

Proly right!  VIC is supposed to be off tomorrow and he has been away from tennis for a while, so I am sure he is itching as well!  The chances of you getting in with us sounds slim to none!

Yours truly is league director next week (while DC is away).  So, I am open to bribes.  But I will probably call ME first if I need anyone(s), then the highest bidder gets the 2nd call.

Played dubs last night with Jeffro against 2 other teammates.  I think I missed no returns in the 1st set.  Many of them were not great returns but I was happy overall.  Jeff played well, especially given his recent injury lay-off, and we won the first set 6-3.  The 2cnd set was rolling along and then my left knee started hurting.  This happens from time to time where it doesn't really hurt walking or standing but when I bend down at all like on a serve or returning it hurts.  The pain affects my ability to stay low which for a big man is everything!  My game fell somewhat and we lost the 2cnd set 6-3 and the 3rd by 6-3 or 6-4.  The fact that I can't remember the 3rd set score shows that I was not fully focused.  We had many break points throughout the match just didn't convert enough.....clearly!  Anyway, until next time?!?!?!?!?   ||-|

Does anyone else suffer similar knee pains?  Do you know what exactly causes it?  Any thoughts on this would be most welcome!

It's called old age.   Having to carry that load Jeffro probably didn't help any.  :whistle:

Played last Friday night and it was good overall!  I played with Freebird against others so it was nice to get back with my usual partner to lay some waste on fools!  I was happy with how I played overall!  



I played last night with VIC against 2 league mates.  It was good stuff with lots of important break points.  We won the first set in a tie-break, they won the 2cnd 6-4, I think.  We didn't have much time left so we decided to play a super-set-tie-break for the 3rd set, first to 10 points.  We took it 10-8.  I was generally happy with how I played.  I was super pumped in the 3rd set super tie-break.  Tennis is more fun for me with that pressure and intensity!

I'm saying those guys hit lots of mis-hits as they both swing so hard!   It becomes very difficult to anticipate their strokes when often the ball does not fly the way their stroke intended.   :-o
