What is your favorite shot to make?

I love doing second serves on a good day... I love throwing my opponent off w/ the lefty spin.

I also loooove to do a very short cross-court backhand w/ a lot of angle... Most of the time my opponent can't get to it.

I like forehand volleys and forehand passing shots...

And I live for a forehand on the run.

Backhand down the line, I also love hitting a flat forehand too(both cross court and down the line).

When my opponent crushes a huge topspin groundstroke from the baseline and I am at the net, I give em' the trusty old DROPPER!  That would be my fave!

Here's my first ever post on this site coming up!

I have to say my crosscourt backhand is my favourite shot, it's loaded with topspin, and you should see the looks I get from my pals at my tennis club if they ever have to face it - priceless!

(In fact, there's me on the left hitting one!)

Backhand and dropshot.

1st serve too on a good day.

I wish my cross court backhand had more zip.  I slice a lot and can keep it low and moving away from the center of the court with sidespin, so that it nice.  But it is hard for me to crush the topspin backhand (I use a one hander) so if I get the court opened up I usually just hit a decent shot to the open court and follow it in to the net.  I would rather just hit a clean winner.

Anyway...  Welcome to the forums Richard!
Good Luck on the Court!!!

My forehand's my best shot and i just love the "boom" when I nail the ball on the sweetspot - i love hitting midcourt sitters the most.  however I really like to swing out on my one-handed bh.  the results arn't as good, but i find it fun for some reason.

anyways, I'm really warming up to my forehand serve-returns! they really have a lot of pace/spin/depth and it's like the most perfect shot to look at.

Oh it was an outdoor hard court on the campus of Leeds University, which is near where I live, and there is a fence around it, you just have to look really hard on the picture!

Oh well spotted, believe me it was definitely there, I remember how many times the ball hit it!
