Played my tourney today. Quite odd players aged from 13-18. Which meant i was slighty disadvantaged being 13. Lots of 13 year olds went out in the first round. I got into the quarter after beating some pretty tough opponent and ended up playing a pretty mediocre 14 year old and won. In the semis i came up against the under 18 club champion and was beaten 3-6. Icould have got a couple more games of him if my serve had been better i reckon. My flat first serves were killing him when they went in but on my second serve my placement was poor and as i had very low % of first serves going in but i did get a couple of aces i suppose.

played with my coach today. Changed my grip to continental for volleys which worked wonders and made my net play soo much better. Coach also had me work on footwork which made my forehand suprisingly better.

Semi western is what i use due to it's versatility.
