Enough Rest?

Do you think that Hewitt and Safin got enough rest to be ready for a battle for the title tonight?

Safin definitely - he's had two full days off, that's enough recovery time no matter how many hours someone's played in their previous matches.

But Hewitt I'm not so sure about. His match aginst Roddick may have been shorter than the previous two, which were 8 hours combined, but still lasted nearly three hours.

This factor, as well as Safin's greater power of the ground, is why I'm expecting a Safin victory in either three or four sets. However, Hewitt has defied my expectations in his previous three matches.

Safin's on a roll and when he gets rolling....watch out.  Safin in 3 straight sets.

Safin will be absolutely fine. As for Hewitt, I think he will get fatigued by a potential 4th/5th set, but the adrenaline and crowd support will mask that pretty well.

Yeah, I agree with you guys, so why in the world did Safin come out so sluggish?  I guess the memory of losing in 2 previous finals paralyzed him.

Yep princess, I think he was struggling with nerves the first set.  If Safin can stay healthy and maybe even improve a little, we could have a 1,2 separation from the pack instead of just 1 guy (Federer) leading the pack.
