I gaurantee Roger Federer will win the Calender Slam next year.   I am willing to put myself on the line and say so.  Anyone can bring this thread up to remind me if it does not happen but I am 100% certain it will.

He better hope someone knocks Nadal out before the final then.  I don't see Federer beating him on dirt in (at least in Paris).

uh oh...another 'guarantee'.  I love Roger as much as the next fan and I know he has the ability to win the GS...but alot of things have to come into play including health, luck, etc.  But I'm hoping you are right Kittens and I give you kudos for putting yourself on the line.

Kittens does like Roger...he just gets disappointed in him sometimes when Roger isn't perfect.

Wow!  What a prediction.  It would be nice to see but I would be very surprised if it happens.  He'll probably win two Slams (Australian and Wimbledon).

What?  No US Open?  Who has taken him out in the last 3 years?  I think he has a good chance of winning them but health will definitely be a factor.  Right now Roger is the ONLY guy out there with a legitimate chance of winning the grand slam.

The Federer-Nadal rivalry I sense turning, and Nadal is already showing early signs of burnout.  I definitely dont see him winning Australia, which means Fed will win it.   I also sense this is Fed's year to win the French, the way Nadal is performing on hard courts is not good enough to even dominate on clay like he has.   Wimbledon and the U.S Open are no brainers, Roddick might improve enough to beat Federer in a best of 3, but not a best of 5.

Wasn't this identical story played out last year?  Nadal hurt and unable to play AO then turned it on in time to win FO?

Actually the scenario that played out last year at this time was Nadal was winning Masters titles on hard courts and beating the other top players including Fed alot more often then he is now.

I'm back!  :)~   The other board I was on a lot is overrun with a lot of political discussions right now...but I've always liked this place as well.  :)  I've also spent a whole lot of time on Bodo's blog, which has been a lot of fun lately.  I've missed it here, though.

I can't get over the season ending high, that's for sure...going into the next season with a smile and great expectations!

It would make things lot more easier for federer if someone takes out Nadal before he reaches final at RG. But, I doubt if there is any one out there that can do that at this time on clay. Also, I believe federer would want to play Nadal in the final and win but it would be tough. My be his recent success againest Nadal will help his confidence this time.

I think fed will win wimbledon and US opens with not much trouble. Aus and French will be tough. Although he has a better chance at Aus than at RG.
