Here's one of my favorite Sampras moments.  1992 US Open final vs Edberg!!!  Hells yeah!!!!

Good luck on the court is nice to have, but it's usually extraneous when playing against Baker.

Maybe you should start an Edberg thread since you have a man-crush on him, instead of showing less-than-stellar Pete in a Pete thread!?!?!?!?!?!?!   ;-()

Sweet shot by Safin but did you happen to see the score there chief ??   Sampras was up 6-3, 3-2 serving! That amazing point got Safin to a deuce point!     ..-)

Keep stirring my friend!   :)

Hey Bro, read the title of the thread - it doesn't say anything about "stellar" - it says "favorite moments" - and that's exactly what I contributed.  Maybe you should create your own thread of "stellar" Pete moments, at which point you might have a case against such a contribution.

And as far as "man crush" goes, I assume that's some more of your "stellar" humor?   :thumb-down:

Thank you guys for posting the clips on Pete.  I loved Pete when he was playing so it brings back good memories when I watch the clips of him.

I remember when Lendl was at the height of his "powers" and he had Pete in tow trying to train him when he left Pete on the road to jog back to his place.  Pete said he was so tired and mad at Lendl for leaving him out on the road like that... But it actually showed Pete what he had to do to 'get to the top'...and it paid off in the long run.  I'm glad to see him back playing a little now. A little is better than not seeing him play at all.  That's what I missed about Lendl when he retired  - he really got out of tennis almost all the way to dedicate his lift to golf.  Well, at least Pete is back playing some now! :))

Does anyone have a clip or transcript of the comments?  Curious to hear what Dudsedski had to say.

Gregs comments before the match was him having a go at Pete's game, movement ect...not very nice comments - sorry but I cannot find a link for this..... :)

However Gregs comments after the match are: ACE MAGAZINE OCTOBER 2002:

Greg says " He's (Pete) a great player from the past.  I'll be suprised if he wins his next match"

Sampras, riled by suggestion that he was "a step and a half slower" than in his hayday, went on to prove Rusdeski wrong. He ground out a four set victory over third seed Tommy Haas and completely outplayed Roddick in the quater-finals....

And the rest is History.... :H

Awesome.  This is one of the ones I have the 100 meg file of 10 minutes of highlights. If you ever want me to upload it somewhere just say the word.
Good Luck on the Court!!!
