That is a tough shot, it takes a crap load of timing to pull off that shot effectively.

I say the dropshot reply off of a drop-shot.  This shot takes ridiculous touch because it has to be hit perfectly.........though the backhand overhead is definitely a close second!


I can't even think of ever seeing the dropshot off of a drop shot ever made!   I did see this shot attempted about a week ago by an OSU tennis player.........it was truly sweet but it just barely didn't get over the net!

When I use to play a lot of singles I would see the dropper off of the dropper often.  It is tough though because you are moving so fast when you hit it, maybe even trying to slow down so you do not hit the net.  I always felt comfortable hitting a dropper off of a dropper in singles.  Not so much is dubs, the net man is pretty close.

I'm so happy and proud to say that I have mastered that shot... the trick is just to not make any movement at all w/ the wrist... you just kind of run into the shot and the momentum of your body pushes the ball over.... I rarely ever have a chance to use it though...

I used to have fast hands and fast feet.  However, at the net I would be much too nervous to try a lob...
