Any internet streams for Rotterdam?
« on: February 15, 2005, 08:12:25 PM »
Hi, just curious if anybody knew a link that provides live coverage of this week's Rotterdam tourney over the internet.  If you do, I'd greatly appreciate it.  Thanks.

Ben

i cant the actual web-site, search in Yahoo--Google only brings some results:

Paradorn Srichaphan beat Igor Andreev 7-6 (7/4), 1-6, 7-5 in the first round of the 782,250-euro ATP Rotterdam Open.

Berdych stopped Swede Robin Rolf Soderling 7-5, 6-2

Here is the official web site for the Rotterdam event.
http://www.abnamrowtt.nl/

when on there you can change the language to English.
The live scoreboard is in the top left corner of the web site.

hope this helps.

There is supposed to be webstreaming on the Rotterdam site (Dutch version only), but it's not been working so far.

http://www.abnamrowtt.nl/

Enter the site, and you'll find yourself on the Dutch home page (the streaming options are not available on the English version of the site).

At the bottom you will see a section called "Photogallery, filmbeelden en meer". Click on the option "Op TV / Radio" which will take you to another page.

In the box entitled "Uitzendtijden TV / Filmarchief 2005" you'll see dates, times of operation with narrow and broadband options. The icon or text turns into a hyperlink when it is available.

Unfortunately, it has not been available for me yet this week. The same happened last year, but by the end of the week it was working fine, and the final was certainly streamed out live. However, it is possible they have implemented some sort of ip checking to only make it available to folks in the Netherlands like the BBC does for some UK coverage. Let's hope not!

You might find that the live scoreboard on the site doesn't launch properly.
Use this for Centre court: http://wtt.networkoperations.nl/frameset.html
and this for court one: http://wtt.networkoperations.nl/baan/frameset.html

Currently Schalken and Pavel are at the sharp end of the third set.  Federer will be on in just under an hour (I hope) :)

The video streams for this site seem to be working now.

http://www.abnamrowtt.nl/index.asp?item=home

Don't switch to English; stay on the Dutch home page.  Scroll down to the bottom where there's a frame in the middle called Photogallery and Filmbeelden.  Choose "Streams 2005."    For now, all they have are completed matches to choose from.

For the semis and finals, they are promising live video, and I think you can connect to that from the English page.

Hope it works!

Thx Dag, I just caught one of Fed's matches.  Not too shabby.  The ball was a little hard to see, but I love it.  :)
Good Luck on the Court!!!

The Federer-Ulihrach clip has a great shot of Richard Krajicek and his family watching the match!

Al Jazeera is also showing the matches live at mms://64.106.232.35/live.

I find the Rotterdam streaming only works properly on WMP 10, whereas the AJ one only seems to be ok on WMP 9.  Your mileage may vary according to operating system ;)
