Currently the low spot in the US is in and around Kansas City, on the Missouri side of course.
High spot; New York state. You New Yorkers are getting reemed, averaging right around $2.00/gallon. California is now on the high end, but much more reasonable than in the past. Only the Mojave desert, and Northern parts of the state are around $2/gallon.
In general there are less extremes accross the country. It's ranging between $1.40 and $2.05 instead of from $1.60 to $3.50.
I passed a gas station, and considered pulling in and filling up yesterday at $1.71. But didn't have time, and kept going. Then I did fill up at that station today for $1.67.
By the way, if you denisons of Columbus would venture south of the 70 you will find prices around $1.50. Here's hoping it stays there as I gear up to come out there for Christmas.
