Gas seems to have steadied at $2.95 - $3.15 around here. I paided $2.91 last weekend but that was very cheap.

$2.83 just an hour ago.  That is the lowest I have payed in a while.   :(

that's lowest here but its been like that for a few weeks now. anywhere from $2.81 to $2.85 at the range of stations where I put gas. nea my home its $2.95 to $3.15, big range.

I should clarify and say that the gas prices I give which is where I put gas in are the cheapest in a 20 mile radius from a midpoint, and my home is on one end, my college at the other end and the other areas i frequent around the circumference. In the circumference where my house is, and the other bigger cities are gas is easily $3 ad in general 15 cents more than the gas prices I always mention (which seem to be around 10-15 cents lower than what a lot of you quote.. so its not like nj is cheap ro anything)

I have to be honest I never know the price of gas until I hear it on the news or read it online. I just pull up to the pump fuel my car, take off and never look at the price. I'm embarrassed, I'm so weird.

I've got about 2 or 3 gas stations that I know will be on the low end of the price spectrum. So I just go there and fill up and drive off.

I just pull up, make note of the price, and reach for the wallet. I don't like the price but what are the alternatives.   :(

Ok, I'm not the only one. :))

Don't get me wrong, I'm aware of the price when I go in.
I'm not paying no $3/gallon if I can get away with it. I'm afraid I'll have to eventually though.

Sounds like you have it cheaper than most. I guess I'll find out when I actually start buying petrol myself: I'd imagine mine will be quite cheap. Where I live prices tend to be about half what they are in most British cities for many things.

There's a reason why we get cheap prices: there are fewer people who don't earn as much. In London people can afford more, so shops charge more. In the Lake District, if shops charged London prices, nobody would be able to afford anything. People live in London and other cities because there are more jobs and more things to do.
