Topic: Gas prices??? What are you paying at the pump?

I filled up for the first time ever today, £1.09 per litre. Not sure what that equates to in $/gallon.

I worked it out a couple of weeks ago that per gallon in $ for us it is $7.70 which is more than double the average in America of around $3.30- $3.50

I think they do reasonable gas pricing in Malaysia, when I lived in Singapore some people drove over there just to get cheap fuel.

$3.09 this morning at a new gas station.  I think they are keeping their price down to get people to start coming to their station.  They had $2.99 last week when they had just opened.

I've been benefitting from two gas stations opening up near each other for the past year or so. They are always close to the lowest price around due to their competition.

I paid my highest ever to date and only because I pretty much ran out of gas around my house on my way back from tennis: $2.99
so that's the lowest around my house. In general the lowest I see and get my petrol at is around 2.95 still.

Today, the Euro peaked to an all-time high > 1.50 against the USD. Expect gas prices to follow suit.

Hoooly crap criers! The Euro is now 1.54 against the USD.

Whilst riding the train this am, I happened to catch the gas price in downtown Chicago just outside the Loop.

$3.29 yesterday.............and that was at the new gas station that has low prices to attract new business.............everything else around here that I have seen is $3.33 and up!

I had to pay about $ 3.40/gallon today to fill up my car.  Doesn't look like prices will come down anytime soon either.
