Topic: Gas prices??? What are you paying at the pump?

Well our price jumped up over the weekend.  On Friday it was $4.32.  On Sunday it was $4.55.  It makes NO sense.... The gas that was already in the pumps were already paid for so why are they 'upping' the price of that gas? To make a profit!  That's why ExxonMobil had a surplus of a trillion/billion dollars last year!

On our news yesterday there was a report on the prices in America and saying how the whole cost of living is going up right now. It also said although $3.50 for the gallon seems great over here, Americans simply aren't use to it- and its like a huge difference and change for them. I instantly thought of you guys and all that you've been saying these past 3-4 months.

Prices are up again here I just filled up yesterday at 1.10 per litre, so £4.50/$8.50 per gallon, so it cost me £35 to fill up completely so $66

I can remember that time too... now we think anything under $4 is a bargin.  A radio station 105.7 had a promotion and had gas for $1.05 at a selected station.  Of course the line was so long people ran out of gas before they got gas!  I didn't even bother to go.

There's been some discussion between the Democratic candidates about repealling, or relaxing some of the tax on gas to help alleviate the pain. Clinton is for it, Obama against. I guess that pretty much tells me which of these two evils I'd rather have.

Im excited for the next time we can have an election and chose by the best, rather than the best of the two worst.  This may not happen again in my lifetime, but it would be nice.

So, the station near my job that has been down lower than most in the area was at $3.41 this morning and then it shot to $3.75 just hours later!      What the hail is up with a $0.34 jump in the same day?

same here except it was like a $0.20 increase in 2-3 hours.  Luckily, I filled up yesterday.

I've mentioned this before, but it seems as though Ohio gas prices fluctuate much more than other states. I still wonder why that is.

That same station dropped $0.04 toward evening yesterday but I think that was due to competition with a nearby gas station.   Unfortunately, I had to shell out $3.68 for gas today and that seems pretty cheap compared to other stauions around here.
