I used to love the old Stan Smith Addidas as well as the Rod Laver Addidas.  That green and white shoe was awesome.  Are those shoes extinct?  Now that I have kids I buy the $39.99 pair of Addidas or Reebok or Nike on the clearance shelf.  I love all things Addidas.

I have recently switched to New Balance 650 series.  I used to see everyone at the club wearing them and I was having a hard time finding shoes I liked that looked like they would last more than a day with me on the court.

I tried them out and they are the best shoe I have ever worn for tennis.  The only one I have not had to ear two pairs of socks when they are new to avoid foot pain or blisters.

I like Wilson shoes. They last me the longest and most have a 6 months warranty. I burned thru Addidas, Nike, Reebok and others in 4-6 weeks.

How's the ark coming along?  I heard the forecast for SoCal and it sounded like you and McIll better be rounding up pairs of animals.  Preferrably one male and one female.

What's the wrap on the 6 month warranty shoes? I met a girl at a tournament once and she told me that her parents bought her a pair of the warranty-covered shoes and she will wear down the soles in like 4 months and they'll send um in and get the new pair. Apparently, she hasn't paid for new shoes in like 2 years because the warranty keeps renewing the ones she bought a while ago?

Is that realistic or was she telling lies?

I have never heard of a shoes have a warranty, If it is true no one would ever have to pay for shoes. Is it just for just special shoes?

Well, the Fils Speed shoes have 7 month warranties.  I've worn them out in 4 months so Fila sent me another pair for free.  But once you wear out the free shoes, you have to buy another pair from your own pocket.  

Wilson and Prince have warranties on some shoes but they might work differently.  

My favorite shoes in terms of style have to be Guga's Diadora Rebound aces, the ones he wore in 1999.  They're black shoes with green stripes and aren't being sold anymore.  Sucks.

...and he better put a tennis court on that ark. We'll be sharing it with a lot of out off this planet people, of course. The rain is going to hang around for the rest of the week. I'll suffer again once the sun comes out. Allergies sucks! A few yrs ago the same thing happened. I got fed up and asked a buddy to hit. We hit in the rain for 2 hours...just goes to show there are crazy people here in CA

As for the 6 month warranty shoes, you can only turn it in once. If the second pair wears out, you'll have to buy a new pair.

Back in high school I always took back the pair of shoes and got the (1) free pair.  6 month shoes back then lasted me between 45-60 days.  I was playing 7 days a week, usually 3-4 hours per day, it was the life.  And oh yeah, no injuries back then.  

Now I always forget to send my shoes back in, I actually kept the receipt this time.  They are about 3 months old and wearing down bad.  I guess with the New Balance they will not let you take them back to the store anymore, they want them sent in.

I willl be a very happy man when they figure out how to get a tennis shoe to be comfortable and last a loooooooong time without having to play on clay or grass.

Well, I'm still wearing my Stan Smiths.  I love 'em.  JC Penney's still carries them off the shelf, though only in spring/summer and Holabird carries them.  I also love adidas (as it is properly spelled) and would consider that one of my few brand loyalties (Edge shaving gel, Diet Coke and Grapenuts being the other).

What the word on Adidas shoes?  I wear Response 7s for hardcourt and Mizuno sneakers for clay.

Id say Adidas, almost any type. I love the clima cools, but it doesnt matter really im a big adidas fan. Clothes shoes all of theat stuff.

i had a pair of head shoes once.  low cut and really light.  felt like i didn't have shoes on--in respect to weight.  but i can't find them anymore   .....why does everything end up disappearing?  speed racer, ninja turtles, transformers, and now my head tennis shoes....

btw...cali people.....it's been sunny--not a cloud in the sky--for the last week/week and a half.  and the forcast for the next week/week and a half is SUNSHINE......where is this sunshine you ask?  in seattle of all places.....who would've thought?
