Kieffer vs Safin today
« on: February 22, 2005, 10:24:11 AM »
Well, they are in the second set.  Kieffer won the first set in a tie-breaker and he is up 1-0 in the second.  The livescore.com is supposed to tell you who is serveing, but sometimes they are wrong.  If it is showing it correctly however, Kieffer is already up a break in the second set.

I have always een very impressed with Kieffer.  I forgte if it was a year ago or two years ago, but he had an incredibule year.  Seems like a nice guy.

Should be a good match.  I wish I was watching it on TV!!!
Good Luck on the Court!!!

Nicolas's last name is Kiefer not Kieffer.   I just thought since you spelt it that way multiple times you might have not known that.   I make tons of spelling errors so I am trying to be smug.    ;)

Or maybe I have the wrong person, LOL!   Is it a different Kiefer you are referring to?   If it is Nicolas his best year was definitely 98 when he ended the year #4 but he played alot better last year.   He kept running into Roddick in the summer, poor guy.   Fed and Roddick dominate the hard courts usually.

No, you got me.  I am bad at spelling, you will notice through-out posts.  :)

And now Kiefer is up 4-2 in the second set.  Uh oh!

I have a client right now who's last name is spelled Kieffer.  :)
Good Luck on the Court!!!

Okies   :H.

Kiefer beat Safin last summer, he also took him to five sets at the U.S open twice, once the year Safin one, the other a year he was in the top 3 in the World rankings(2002 I believe).    He definitely has the game that troubles Safin.

Wow..I think this puts a damper on Federer. I think he would perfer to play Safin in the final (that's assuming that he makes it there). Well, at least he'll have a good match against Agassi. If Federer win, will he have enough points to overtake Safin in the race?

Edit: Check out this site I've found at ATP TOUR site. Federer Vs Agassi in the sky.

Suprise loss, hopefully he can put it behind him and prep for the next one.  I think he had some time off recently.  I am sure it is tough to play the first match back after winning a slam.  I am sure the first round of a much smaller tournament means so much less.
Good Luck on the Court!!!

Are you sure this is the same Kiefer--Mr. Congeniality--that we're talking about?  Also known as Mr. Pouty, Mr. Complain To Ump, etc.  ??

Having said that, I admit that I like him too!  Not sure why . . . ||-|

So it's pretty much set in stone -- despite how good he plays Marat is simply a mental nutcase. The guy just cannot keep his mentality together for more than a week. I really wish he could. I like him as a player but its disappointing when he fails to come through....

:( Good luck to him in the future...

Well after winning his second grand slam event his place in tennis history is set in stone.  Now he can go back to Moscow and become a pimp or something.
