Hey all,
I'm after footage of a particular match that seems to no longer be around.
Hopman Cup 4, 1992 (27th Dec 1991 - 3 Jan 1992.) Quarterfinal, Germany vs France, mixed doubles Becker/Graff vs Leconte/Hallard. Steffi actually ended up retiring from the match as she was sick and Boris ko'ed a ball boy with one of his back hands, so it is safe to say that it was not the best day for the Germans.
I happen to be good mates with the Ball Boy that got clobbered by Becker and any reasonable person would be able to see that since the 20th anniversary of the knock out is in a couple of months, there is a very high need to create an event where the footage is played in a very public space. This would result in the few sympathetic people saying 'oh, poor Nico' and everybody else doubled over in laughter.
Any ideas or recomendations? I've exhausted all archives of organisations involved in the production, including media, here in Oz, UK, France and Germany. You should have seen some of the looks I got seeking footage of a 20 year old tennis match!
Are there any fans on here of Becker, Graff, Leconte or Hallard that just happen to have a copy of almost every match they have played?
I'll leave it to your collective wisdom.
