That's reaaaaal nice Peckawood!The bad news Victor, is that the doc has diagnosed arthritis in my left knee and says it's just a matter of time before it needs to be replaced. Seeing as the metal knee typically lasts 10-5 years, he'd like to wait until I'm 55 or so before doing it. No way the hinge is gonna last that long. The good news is, I can still play some serious table tennis and even though the arthritis has affected my brain as well, I can still beat Scooter in chess with one hand tied behind my back.
The bad news Victor, is that the doc has diagnosed arthritis in my left knee and says it's just a matter of time before it needs to be replaced. Seeing as the metal knee typically lasts 10-5 years, he'd like to wait until I'm 55 or so before doing it. No way the hinge is gonna last that long. The good news is, I can still play some serious table tennis and even though the arthritis has affected my brain as well, I can still beat Scooter in chess with one hand tied behind my back.
Scooter is getting better at chess. The bad news is, I would still need Monster's brain tied behind his head for me to even come close to standing a chance of winning 1 out of 20. He is just too good.For now.............................

That's always bad news. The dentist keeps saying something similar about one or other of my teeth. But I can't stop from commenting that for me 55 seems an awfully long time back. My tennis game is nothing like as good as it was when I was 50 but somehow by evolving and ageing along with compatible tennis-loving friends, the game just keeps going at a slower rate. Suggest also that Scooter learns how to accidentally upset the chess board at a critical part of the game.
I miss all the MT journal updates! It was required reading for me. I hope you are going to be able to hit the courts again soon!
