Oh trust me, we will be praying for him!
Someday....I'm a gonna bop you! :rofl_2:

You'll only dislocate your elbow, so don't do that.   :rofl_2:
Funny you should mention that.
My right arm is already broken, and appears shorter than my left.
Perhaps if I boppp you hard enough I can break it back and straighten it out (thereby gaining 5-6 inches of reach on me serve!!!).

First match against Bill & Brian went as expected.
Came roaring out of the gate and stole the first set 6-3 before they got their bearings.  It was all down hill from there, as they wised up and put a few more balls in play just out of my reach.
No expectations so no disappointment.
Lots of fun points.
I would currently rate myself a very poor 3.5 playa.
Oh, how the mighty have fallen!!! :)) :rofl_2:

The goal for the remainder of the tourney (I affectionately dubbed The Constipation round) is to remain injury free and limit any residual pain to muscles only.  Next up, two 75 y.o. gents, one of whom is the father of a H.S. aquaintance of mine that played the euro tour briefly in the late 80's and went on to teach tennis in NYC.  Unfortunately, I think we'll win this one. :(

We're all winners on the inside Scooter!

Collected my marble for Biggest Loser (winner of the consolation round).
A solid 3.0 performance. :paper bag:
Not sure if I dragged my partner down to that level or whether he was already there.
In true Monster form, after 2 doubles matches he and I decided to play a set of singles.  I did not win a single game.

Excuse me while I ...

Yeah, we had some laughs, but when the Master loses to the Grasshopper and the Grasshopper plays like crap it gives one cause to pause.

Seems like I'm standing barefoot at the bottom of Mt. Everest with only a bottle of water and a 3 Musketeers for supplies.

Had an interesting post-match discussion with me pardner re:  neurons and how the brain works.  Apparently I need to work a tad harder at reinforcing the few good habits I have.

Sadly our journals are sounding way too much alike.
I was at this casino minding my own business, and this guy came up to me and said, "You're gonna have to move, you're blocking a fire exit." As though if there was a fire, I wasn't gonna run. If you're flammible and have legs, you are never blocking a fire exit.  - Mitch Hedberg

That my friend, is unfortunate.
Too bad I can't enjoy just 'playing' tennis once in awhile instead of wanting to be a 'playa'!

Got out for a post-Turkey Day hit with the extended family.
Sis-in-law from Down Under and nephew & bro-in-law here in town.
Just social dubs where I played cooperatively.
Lots of laughs.
Good to be out on the court again even if the temp. was only 35F when we started.

We've had it a lot warmer here (not surprising)  :) .
Which part of Down Under? I'm from Sydney and it took the AO to get me to Melbourne for the first time in 15 years last January.
When I lived in Chile, I used to refer to Australia as "down under - other side"  :upside down: .
