He stopped by the last forum here and there. He read one of my last threads at the last place saying that I was going to have to pay EZBoard again to keep the banner ads and pop ups off of the forums. It is an annual fee. He suggested I move to this free forum that I host myself. He actually suggested it about 12-14 months ago but I was too clueless. I still am, but he has set it up for me. Huge help.

I think Jackal had a problem at first. I just replied to a post at the old forum, he said the link took him to a installation menu thingy. I asked him to try again.

As far as McIll, he will not disappoint. He usually shows himself in the a.m., hopefully we will see him then.

I was counting on you to restart that one! You or Hoytie! I would love to see some of the old threads reborn here. I am bummed I could not bring the old threads over. But in the end this is best. But I will miss some of those oldies!

I have seen this type of forum elsewhere. It is so versatile it does a great job as a software support site, so it should serve this group very well. Looks nice, too.

This type if forum seems to be fairly popular. Probably because it is free and you have all kinds of control and options. Especially with the looks. I know you have talked about getting a forum before for some instructional stuff on your site. This could be a nice start for you with these forums since they are free. No money lost if it does not work out.

You mean the Maria Sharapova thread from the other www.tennis4you.com message board is gone for good, as in kaput? You're kidding.

That was by far the biggest thread you had at the other board and I kept it going for so long.

Maybe Hoytie will start a new Sharapova thread. But I doubt it. And from what I could tell from the old thread Hoytie was never a big fan of Sharapova. In fact she started the other Sharapova thread knocking her about how arrogant Maria supposedly is. But then as time went by it turned into a positive Sharapova thread for the most part.

But that thread is history now and we have to move on.
