College season starts Tuesday!
Man am I pumped! I've been training my ass off for almost a year for this. I've come from 260lbs to 220lbs in 9 months and I'm still dropping weight. I played indoor matches on friday night and I played the absolute best tennis of my life. I threw only 5 double faults in 3 matches and was broken only twice. My two breaks came in the first match and after that I was never broken again! My mentality on the court has changed so much and it feels so much more comfortable. I play every single point the best I can, if I win it great....and I move on. If I lose the point....oh well....and I move on.
So here I am. I get one college tennis season. I am in the best shape of my life and I am playing the best tennis of my life. I'm confident and ready to go. I have an advantage over my other teamates who do no practicing in the off season. No fitness training. They're these naturally skinny guys that don't have to work too terribly hard at staying lean.
Not me I hafta work at it everyday. But having an advantage, I might advance higher in the ladder matches and get a good spot on the team. We'll see. So wish me luck ladies and gents!
