Nice! my favs::

    * [In the modern game], you're either a clay court specialist, a grass court specialist or a hard court specialist ... or you're Roger Federer.
          o Jimmy Connors
Roger can produce tennis shots that should be declared illegal - Tracy Austin

He's Roger. What can you say?
          o Mario Ancic after their quarter final at Wimbledon 2006.

He is a magician with a racket. Even when he is playing badly, which is rarely, he can still do things with his racket nobody else can do.
-- Goran Ivasomethingvic
   --- Santoro still has the copyright on the Magician title and is fully worthy of it.

Thanks Tennisfan. What a delight.
But  I can assure you that this does not mean anything to some of our posters( you know them) who are out to bashing Federer. You will see preety soon the results.
These are the words from PROS but i can't wait to see what our PROS from this board will say.

Thanks for posting!  You know I can read things like this all day!  In fact - I had read them...but I still can read them over and over and over...well, you get the point. ://

When you read things like this and see the respect and admiration other players have for Roger...then you read tennis forums from people who have never met the guy who say things like 'he's arrogant, big-headed, blah, blah, blah'... then you have to scratch your head and say - Are these posters talking about the same man these  tennis players are talking about?  Are these posters talking about the same men who was voted the Edberg Sportsmanship Award 3 straight years in a row - by his own peers?  Then I choose to believe the people who are closer to him.  The ones who tour with him day in and day out over some tennis posters who hasn't even seen the guy in person, less known even spent a day with him.

It also amazes me that some people will still say he's arrogant and big headed, etc., yet do they honestly think the players themselves would vote for someone like that to represent them as their own best Sportsmanship person of the year?  Think about it!  I don't care who you are - if the players don't like you and the attitude you bring, you won't get their vote for that award.  Yet - Roger has won it 3 years in a row. Amazing... ://

Add to that the tournament workers, the volenteers, the ball kids all speak well of they guy too. You really find out about someone by the way he or she treats the behind the scenes people. The people who will probably never see Federer again, and who really count very little towards his future.
