Fantastic!  I'm so happy.  First folks say that Roger had to "beat the top people"...he beat Djokovic and Murray at Wimbledon... He beats Novak here in Cincy...now they are saying the title doesn't matter because Nadal wasn't there.... when in reality - Nadal hasn't won a non-clay title since 2010!  So that won't hold water either.  I think fans are just jealous of Roger's success.  I'm going to enjoy it...and then get ready for the US Open!!!!  Go Roger!

- This is Federer's 21st ATP Masters 1000 title. He has now equalled Rafael Nadal's record.

- This is Federer's 5th Cincinnati Masters title. He is the first player to win 5 Cincinnati Masters.

- Federer has an unbeaten record at Cincinnati Masters finals [5-0].

- This is Federer's 3rd ATP Masters 1000 title and 6th title overall of 2012.

- Federer's finals W-L record in 2012 IS 6-2.

- This is Federer's 76th title of his career.

- Federer is the 1st player to win a Masters title without being broken.  :cool:

Yeah, hope he keeps playing like this and eventually does as well as Connors and Rosewall did towards the end of their careers.

Rosewall won Australian Open 1972 at the age of 37. In 1973, he reached the semis of US Open at 38 years and in 1974, he was a finalist at Wimbledon at the age of 39 years!  :worthy:

Connors also was a semifinalist at the US Open at the age of 39.

Federer has recently said that he wishes to play on till Rio 2016. By then, he would be 35. Hopefully, his style of play will allow him to play injury-free till then atleast.
