2 minutes left in the 3rd and the Cetics are up 20.  :whistling:
James is laying another egg. 4 for 17 from the floor.

Pretty much done now. 22 pt lead with 3+ minutes to go.
We'll just have to see if Cleveland, and especially Lebron James, can get it's act together at home. :dunno:

The Cavs HAVE to win the next 2 at home and hope they can steal one in Boston.  But I have a feeling game 1 was their only chance of stealing one there.  I can't imagine the Celts will play 2 games that bad at home.
I was at this casino minding my own business, and this guy came up to me and said, "You're gonna have to move, you're blocking a fire exit." As though if there was a fire, I wasn't gonna run. If you're flammible and have legs, you are never blocking a fire exit.  - Mitch Hedberg

Looks like San Antonio finally pulled away. After a nip and tuck 3 quarters of play, they now lead by 13 points 103-90.

Well Boston got the job de in a very tight contest 76-72 over Cleveland in Game 1!
Tonight the Lakers have Game 2 of the series with the Utah Jazz, with the Lakers having won the 1st game of the series!

Both teams looked awful.  Cleveland just BLEW a golden opportunity to steal one in Boston.   :mad1:

The NBA just doesn't do anything for me anymore. I was a huge Laker fan thru the 80's. I was a Golden State Warrier fan thru the 90's. But after the whole Chris Webber thing there, followed by the Latrell Sprewell thing, I got tired of the sport. It was no longer interesting anymore.

Then why do they have new logos saying NBA cares?

Before the playoffs started I read a lot of articles saying that Utah may be the best in the west. We'll see if they can beat the Lakers. Doesn't look that way now though.  :confused1:

We are far removed from a time when owners cared about fans, as other than a source of income. We are all commodities. They care about as long as we have money to buy tickets, or memorabilia, or as long as their prospective sponsors are willing to give them money to attempt to convince us to part with our money.
Beyond that they don't care a lick.

Well the Lakers lost away to the Jazz by 5 points overnight here- and the series now stands at 2-1 Lakers
The other 3 matchups are currently:
New Orleans Hornets 2-1 San Antonio Spurs
Detroit Pistons 2-1 Orlando Magic
Boston Celtics 2-0 Cleveland Cavaliers

So far this round has been incredibly predictable with 11 home wins out of 11 home matches! That should change surely over the next 2-3 days!

The magic are favored over the pistons by 4.
The Cavaliers are favored only by 1 over Boston.
Cleveland has to win this game, no team has come back from a 3 down deficit.

I think this is whats wrong with the Playoffs, the home team always wins..........there could be many reasons for this but I think the officials and there poor calls, or lack of calls, is the main reason.   :(

I remember you saying this about 2 weeks ago about the playoffs and it really does seem as if its the case- especially in this round. Its very unfortunate because it becomes so predictable. I have never followed the playoff series really closely but has this always been a similar pattern over the years?
