Yes!   :mad1:

Very unfortunate that is for the NBA. But right now Buck you need that to hold to form so your Cavs get it back to 2-2 and then you woulod take that pattern changing  :))

Well the Lakers lost away to the Jazz by 5 points overnight here- and the series now stands at 2-1 Lakers
The other 3 matchups are currently:
New Orleans Hornets 2-1 San Antonio Spurs
Detroit Pistons 2-1 Orlando Magic
Boston Celtics 2-0 Cleveland Cavaliers

So far this round has been incredibly predictable with 11 home wins out of 11 home matches! That should change surely over the next 2-3 days!

I think this is whats wrong with the Playoffs, the home team always wins..........there could be many reasons for this but I think the officials and there poor calls, or lack of calls, is the main reason.   :(

there are some articles here about controversial referees, LA Times also reported this: at the beginning of one match: 4 fouls against the Jazz and then technical foul to Sloan, people here are suggesting that Stern is putting pressure in the referees to see a final between Celtics and Lakers. (just imagine how great could be a look back to Lakers vs Celtics finals for young people)

They don't have the players that they had then or the interest either. If he's trying to do that it's a lost cause.

I would hate to think that decisions are made like that that totally affect the outcomes of games for a specific desire fulfilled (Lakers-Celtics Finals)!    That makes all sports down to the level of big time wrestling (WWF style)..........totally fixed!   If I found this to be true I would likely have to stop watching..............although, the way it is now with the poor foul calls is almost enough to send me away!

The thing about the NBA is that every foul call could be considered subjective. Charges vs blocking. Offensive, or defensive. The player dribbling the ball is warding off the defensive player with his other arm (a foul) the defensive player is constantly reaching into get the ball (a foul) the player dribbling is always cupping the ball (considered carrying or traveling). Every shot is contested and potential fouls can called on every possetion. Add the fact that the game is extremely fast moving and you have the ingredients for a very difficult job.
Since calls can be made either way, and the difference between the call going one way or the other very small, it's only understandable that the crowd can have a huge influence on way the game is called.

Cavs have let a 26 pt 1st half lead shrink to 12, but have upped it back to 19 with about 9 min left.

I agree with all you say and I can see if the officials are worried about crazy fans doing crazy things to them but I am just worried that it is pre-determined in a way or that the officials knowingly sway the games.

Celts can't win on the road so if we can just steal 1!

That's why I said I thought the Cavs would win.

The Detroit Pistons brought up the 1st away win of this playoff round with a dramatic 1 point victory over the Orlando Magic 90-89 to lead 3-1 now in the series!

Cleveland tied up the series at 2-2 with their win tonight.  :yahoo: Lebron had a bad shooting night but his dunk over Garnett made up for it.

Yeah excellent win for the Cavs tonight- now they've got to snatch one in Boston. Lakers have a huge game tonight at home after being pegged back by the Jazz to 2-2 in the series!

ESPN just showed a sequence of the ONE Lebron James dunk from the end of last night's game. They ran the dunk 7 time. Again and again. Then, as if that wasn't enough the showed it again 20 seconds later. So we were treated to the same play 14 times in a span of one minute.

It wasn't exactly in your face. I can break it down pretty well now, having just seen it 14 straight times. Garnett made a half hearted attempt to stop it, but ended up just getting out of the way. So, no it wasn't "in your face" it was a dunk. It was a pretty spectacular dunk.
But no dunk warrents being show 14 times in one minute. No play warrents being show 14 times in a minute.

Dominique was pretty spectacular, and Jordan was as well. Spud Webb was a miracle. But I don't really consider the dunk much more than a high percentage shot. I think too much is made of it.
My favorite player when I followed the NBA was James Worthy, so I guess Worthy would fit the bill as my favorite dunker too.
