Los Angeles Lakers 99 - Orlando Magic 91! Lakers lead 3-1!
it's over?????????????
as much as I love Kobe I must say this is a team sports! Fisher giving the championship game to the Lakers and not Kobe!
Fisher great at the biggest stage! Gasol also playing nicely!

Swish, as a big Shaq attack fan, where did he win another ring outside the Lakers?
a team favoured by points is based in Las Vegas bettings?

It doesn't matter what crap BGT is talking because the Lakers won't win it all!   ;-()
sad, a lot of spanish fans want to see Gasol winning the nba finals!

Sorry Chita!  Maybe next year!   ;-()

the lakers won game 5 in Orlando 99-86. 4-1!
LA Lakers 2009 NBA Champions! well deserved! excellent team!
some feelings: I love Kobe too much! he is the best!
Jackson 10th title, more than Red Cigar 9th.
as a spanish fan who started following the nba in the late 80's with a legendary programme called "close to the stars" this is it: 2 decades ago we were cheering for the late Fernando Martin to play 2 minutes with the Blazers, this is the end of a long trip, congratulations Pau, great playoffs and finals, superman became superboy, very special feelings, Pau, the legend from St.Boi is a fan of my same soccer liga club,
Gasol winning with the lakers is is as big in Spain as Alonso winning the F1 championship or Nadal at Wimby.
now, it's official, as as a long time nba fan, the jouney ends.
thank you Lakers! a night to remember!

Cavs signed Shaq then, so him and Lebron are going to team up. Buck, Jamesdster what you think of this?

Not sure what to think of this one CT.  They should be able to team up for a championship but I worry about them getting enough spotlight individually while on the same team.  Plus, Shaq could definitely get hurt at some point and Lebron hasn't really gotten hurt even though he easily could at some point.

If Diesel comes in motivated and hungry for another title, and “supposedly” he is, then I like it for the simple fact that we gave up nothing to land him.  He was brought in for 1 purpose and that is to lean on Howard if we play them again in the playoffs.  I look for the team to rest him a lot, play no back-to-backs, and have him ready for the playoffs.  I see him and Z splitting the minutes.

it is what the cavaliers need. Shaq is the last true center in nba history, after him all thr others are porwerforwards like Duncan or Fasol, see Superman Howard in the nba finals, Lebron needs another hall of famer in order to win or reach the final. I love this deal. James was not able to win the title alone, he needed qualitiy players.

Bad trade for Cleveland. Shaq is at his best when he is surrounded by efficient perimeter players something Cleveland  does not have. Secondly, the paint just got a little to crowded for James who is a slasher. Cleveland should have traded for a legitimate number 2 guy.

Furthermore, Howard was not the reason Cleveland lost to magic. They were killed by the Orlando's 3 pt shooting.

When the Cavs doubled down on Howard, he kicked it back out and Lewis, Alston, Turkalou were drilling 3's.  When we guarded their 3's and went mano-a-mano w/ Howard he ate us alive.  It was a double edged sword.  With Shaq, you no longer have to double up on Howard and cannow guard the 3 point arc.  Also, you don't think that Lebron is going to slash to the hole and when they collapse on him he won't behind the back to Shaq for a throw down?  I like the trade a lot.  I still like Mo Williams as a 2 guy.  He had a great season and a not so great series against Orlando.

Jamesdster:
The Magic are an outside/inside team instead of the traditional inside/outside team because Howard is a poor passer. They were not hitting wide open 3pts from Howard kick outs. For most of the series, Howard was in foul trouble. Hedo and Rashard being almost 6 inches taller than their defenders is what hurt the Cavs.
The only good thing about the trade is Cleveland gave up nothing and Shaq's contract expires after the year.

What about the Spuddster?  That is the only small one I could come up with.

I'll take Jordan, he banged with guys much bigger, they tried to keep him away from the basket by intimidation and anything else, forget it, when he was going to the hoop he was going period.

That spuddster was amazing, he was 5'7" but could dunk still......   :king:
