I just like Tim Duncan.  Great player and (from what I've seen anyway) great attitude.  Pretty good swimmer also :)!

I have to admit when I saw Nowitzki's injury I was sure he tore a knee ligament and figured their season would be over.  Good to see that he's already back to playing.  Now, let's go Spurs :)>>>>!!!

Yes - impressive win today against the Suns.  We should have won the other night against the Lakers!  But at this point - I'll take any win to make the playoffs!

IF the Mavs don't go far or make the playoffs, the Spurs are my 2nd favorite team (have to stay in Texas!)... So First: GO MAVS, and secondly: GO SPURS.... :))

I like the mavs and spurs. But I made a bet that the Celtics would go further in the playoffs than the spurs.

Possible.  There are a lot of good teams in the Western Conference.

That was part of my reasoning for the bet.
But against me is the fact that Boston is having their first good year so it's unknown how they play in the playoffs.

A good thing for your bet is they won't get Detroit till the conference finals.  I suppose if LeBron James goes crazy Cleveland could beat the Celtics, but i can't imagine any other team besides Detroit beating them.  I guess anythings possible though.

That was part of my reasoning for the bet.
But against me is the fact that Boston is having their first good year so it's unknown how they play in the playoffs.

hope NBA finals will be again Celtics vs Lakers, I miss that great rivalry!!! :)

I've got Lakers   taking it all. Not sure about Boston. I still like Detroit to get to the final.

As always, it's coming down to the last days for the Warriors, who have both Denver and Pheonix left.   ;;)

Defense keys Warriors win!   :rofl_2:

Baron Davis had 33 points and nine assists, Stephen Jackson added 20 points and the Warriors stayed in a tie with Denver for the West’s final berth in their highest-scoring game of the season, a 140-132 win over the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night.

Andris Biedrins had 17 points and 17 rebounds for the Warriors (47-31) as they kept pace in the power-packed West, where one club is certain to end up with the best record in NBA history for a non-playoff team. The Warriors warmed up for their showdown with Denver by putting on their usual offensive theatrics against Sacramento, including a 77-point first half.

Suns 122-116, Warriors eliminated   :(

Golden State (48-33) could tie the NBA mark for best record without making the playoffs. The mark of 49-33 is held by the 1971-72 Suns. … The Warriors’ 38 points were the most by a Phoenix opponent in the third quarter this season.

If Golden State were in the Eastern Conference they'd have won at least 55 games.  The East SUCKS!! :yuk:

Actually, it was the Kidd trade that knocked the Warriors out. Kidd was Dallas' answer to Baron Davis and Dallas' win v GS was the first nail in the coffin. Had GS made the playoffs, Dallas was in better position to beat them with Kidd. I still like the Kidd trade. Makes sense to sure up your defense for the playoff run.

What happened to Tim Duncan's free throw shooting? I haven't seen him make one yet. I thought he was better than that. Big Fundamental and all that. What's more fundamental than a free throw?

Suns up by 3 with less than 2 minutes to play in what is definitely the best 1st round series in the NBA. This could have been the West's championship based on the two teams.
Just an aside... doesn't Steve Nash look like he could fit in on one of those Caveman Gieko commercials.

We go to another OT. Staudomire has fouled out, and O'Neil has 5 fouls. So Duncan has a chance to really take over.

Spurs Rally Past Suns in Thriller!!!

Tim Duncan forced a second overtime with a 3-pointer and Manu Ginobili scored the game-winner in San Antonio's 117-115 double-overtime win over the Suns.

Ginobili did that with less than 15 seconds remaining after Nash had tied it with a three falling away in the corner. No Shaq & no Staudimire, so Ginobili had a fairly easy time getting the winning shot off.
