Masters-cup who will make it?

Getting down to the nity gritty now,who do you think in or out,who have not made it yet 100%.Will Simon keep his place & Del Potro??? will some come in by the back door???

Copying this from the other thread. I tried to strikeout everything that couldn't happen anymore but it took too long!


This week in Paris, there are multiple scenarios how a player could qualify for Tennis Masters Cup. Here's a look at the leading contenders and the different ways they may get in (daily updates will be available throughout the tournament on ATPtennis.com):

6) Andy Roddick
- Qualifies with semifinal, final or title.
- Qualifies with Round of 16 and no more than two of the following happens: del Potro and Simon reach SFs, Ferrer reaches final, Blake or Wawrinka or Tsonga win title.
- Qualifies with QF and no more than two of the following happens: del Potro reaches SF. Simone or Ferrer reach Final. Blake or Wawrinka win title.

7) Juan Martin del Potro (pictured)
- Qualifies with final or title.
- Qualifies with Round of 16 and no more than one of the following happens: Simon or Ferrer reach SFs, Blake, Wawrinka reach final, Tsonga or Nalbandian win title.
- Qualifies with QF and no more than two of the following happens: Roddick reaches Round of 16, Simon and Ferrer reach SF, Blake finals, Wawrinka or Tsonga wins.
- Qualifies with SF and no more than two of the following happens: Roddick reaches SF, Simon or Ferrer reaches final and Blake or Wawrinka wins title.

8) Gilles Simon
- Qualifies with final or title.
- Qualifies with loss in first match and none of the following happens: Ferrer reaches Round of 16, Blake reaches the SF, Wawrinka or Tsonga reaches the final, Nalbandian, Verdasco, Monfils or Soderling win title.
- Qualifies with Round of 16 and no more than one of the following happens: Del Potro reaches Round of 16. Ferrer reaches QF, Blake, Wawrinka or Tsonga reach final, Nalbandian, Verdasco, Monfils or Soderling win title.
- Qualifies with QF and no more than one of the following happens: del Potro reaches Round of 16, Ferrer reaches SF, Blake or Wawrinka reach Final. Tsonga or Nalbandian or Verdasco win title.
- Qualifies with SF and no more than two of the following happen: del Potro reaches SF, Ferrer reaches final, Blake or Wawrinka win title.

9) David Ferrer
- Qualifies with final or title.
- Qualifies with Round of 16 and none of the following happens: Simon reaches Round of 16, Blake reaches SF, Wawrinka or Tsonga reach final, Nalbandian, Verdasco, Monfils or Soderling win title.
- Qualifies with QF and no more than one of the following happens: del Potro reaches Round of 16, Simon reaches QF, Wawrinka reaches final, Tsonga, Nalbandian, Verdasco or Monfils win title.
- Qualifies with SF and no more than two of the following happens: Roddick reaches Round of 16, del Potro and Simon reach SFs, Wawrinka or Tsonga win title.

10) James Blake
- Qualifies with title.
- Qualifies with SF and no more than one of the following happens: del Potro and Simon reach Round of 16, Wawrinka or Tsonga reach final, Verdasco, Monfils, Nalbandian and Soderling wins title.
- Qualifies with final and no more than two of the following happens: Roddick reaches Round of 16, del Potro and Simon reach semifinals, Wawrinka wins title.

11) Stanislaw Wawrinka
- Qualifies with Paris title.
- Qualifies with SF no more than one of the following happens: Simon and Ferrer reach Round of 16, Blake reaches SF, Tsonga reachs the final, Verdasco or Nalbandian or Soderling wins title.
- Qualifies by reaching final and no more than two of the following happens: Roddick reaches Round of 16, del Potro reaches QF, Simon or Ferrer reaches SF, Blake or Tsonga win title.


12) Jo-Wilfried Tsonga
- Qualifies with Paris title
- Qualifies by reaching final and no more than one of the following happens: del Potro wins a round, Simon or Ferrer reach QFs. Wawrinka, Nalbandian or Verdasco win title.

13) Fernando Gonzalez
- Has withdrawn from Paris and now cannot qualify for Shanghai.

14) David Nalbandian
- With Title and no more than two of the following happens: Roddick reaches Round of 16. Del Potro reaches QF. Simon, Ferrer reach semifinals. Blake reaches final.
- With Final and none of the following can happen: Simon and Ferrer reach Round of 16, Blake and Wawrinka reach SF, Tsonga, Verdasco, Monfils, Soderling do not win Paris.

15) Fernando Verdasco
– Must win title and no more than one of the following happens: del Potro wins a match. Simon or Ferrer reach SF. Blake reaches final.

16) Gael Monfils
– Must win title and no more than one of the following happens: del Potro wins a match. Simon reaches QF. Ferrer reaches SF. Blake or Tsonga reach final.

17) Robin Soderling
– Must win title and no more than 1 of the following can happen: Del Potro wins a match, Simon reaches QF. Wawrinka reaches SF. Blake or Wawrinka or Tsonga reach Final. Nalbandian, Verdasco or Monfils win Paris.

The 8 there now will make it for me. I expect that Del Potro and Simon have done enough to get the last 2 places.
