So I started making highlights last night for the fed-ancic match, and i did the whole selection thing for set1 .. and then it wouldn't make the highlights. the program just compiled the whole set pretty much, so instead of what was supposed to be a 3-4 minute (this is only one set so far) highlight clip, it was a 45 minute 315mb set.. basicaly the whole thing with one missing chunk
so i'll give it another try today. hopefully it works, and then i'll make the remaining two sets.
Am I doing something wrong here? I haven't done any trimming/editing in a while but I thought i knew pretty well how to use the solveig thing. For some reason however, it's basically including everything from the start of my first marked section to the end time of my last marked section. so for example if my clips are timed like so:
10:57 - 12:31
17:21 - 17:49
26:13 - 27:05
so instead of making a video only about 3 minutes long, it makes a video from 10:57 - 27:05
This is absolutely the worst thing in the world. why won't it work!? What's wrong with it?! And why is it that I can't find a single simple other program that does this like a simple intuitive way?! If not this, I have heard WIMP's brother windows movie maker does something like it, and that thing crashes every 3 seconds, forget about even thinking of trimming something. maybe i'll just suck it up and learn the vegas video thing that dmast says is good.
i need to get some sleep, i'm stressing out over this .. this.. software that doesn't work, i'll make it work somehow.
I think for Solveig, you can only trim one section at a time. I didn't know you could trim multiple sections like that, but if you do, it takes the earliest start time, and latest end time, and trims the entire section like that. so what I would do is trim out all the sections, and label tehm "1, 2, 3, 4..." to make it easy, and compile it together?
Btw, do you have the full version of Solveig, or only the trial version? As far as I know, Solveig only has a 21 day free trial period.
