No.. it's 3 disks... sorry, been fighting through the converting from vob and the splitting.... (between everything else happening Christmas Day).... now just got to work through the joining, and I'll be able to do a neater upload

What program do you use to convert the vob to an avi?

A free one I found called AutoGK at http://www.autogk.me.uk

AND I finally figured out that it will do the VOB from the second dvd by copying the first dvd VOB's into a directory, and copy/rename the VOB's from the 2nd DVD sequentially ..i.e DVD1 contains VOB 1_1,2,3; rename the VOB's from DVD2 as VOB 1_4, 5...  and it will process them all as one thing. Been an interesting learning experience and curve

Well the VOB's I'm converting them from aren't one VOB per set, and I found that trying to do the VOB's separately, I ended up with different qualities trying to get them all at 500 MB... so I settled for doing the entire match to 2 GB and then splitting it. I dunno, perhaps not the most efficient way of doing it, but since I only started trying to do this 3 days ago... well, I'm still learning.

Dr Divx takes care of that little problem. It reconstructs the .vob files into one compressed divx file.

Converted the VOB's to one file, and was attempting to split them into uploadable segments.  No matter what I tried (setting slightly different points), the 2nd clip came out as a 4108k file. All the rest of the segments split fine.

Finally after a zillion reconversions and split attempts, I hit on setting the 2nd clip markers right next to each other, and then continued the rest of the splitting. Got the same 4108k no-go file, but at least it continued on properly and I was able to get a real clip 2.  I'm using Easy Video Splitter. Any ideas why this would happen?

You're right... I had checked the filename on my upload page with the one on my disk and they match (*set2.avi), but I just tried to download the file and on the download says *set1.avi - absolutely no clue how that happened. Will re-upload
