We did 8 hours of snow removal on roofs yesterday. Flat out the hardest work I've ever done. Period.
Am looking forward to the run off in a few months as well. It should make for some great walleye fishin' and awesome pics at the river!!!

Actually, since several were home stranded, we had 8 first responders, including 4 women. One girl is tough and always there to do the mens work. The others got tired after 1/2 to 2 hours. One chick that is about 4'11" and weighs 80lbs. She was out about an hour or more, but I can't imagine she could do a whole lot.
Surprisingly, I actually feel OK. I grew up on a ranch. I'll tell you this much, I couldn't clean sheep pins for 9 hours in the Cali heat even when I was a teen. This wasn't so bad because, for the most part, the snow was dry and powdery. The worst of it was on the 1st floor decks, because they caught all of the crap from 2 and 3 floors above. That was really packed high and heavy!
Unfortunately, the dum-basses here are incredibly short sighted. They think the worst is behind us. They see 2-3 tons of snow and see snow. I see massive flood. We don't have the drainage to handle this.
We're kind of screwed, too. We can't get a truck back there because of all the gates.
No hired help showed up. I sent an email to the residents explaining what 8 of us had done with no help from property management.
None of them thanked us. Losers.
