10) Roddick Establishes Tie-Break Mark -- Andy Roddick went nearly half the season without losing a tie-break, setting a record of 18 consecutive tie-breaks won between February (Memphis) and July (Wimbledon). The streak ended painfully in the Wimbledon quarterfinals when Roddick blew a two-sets lead to lose to Richard Gasquet 4-6, 4-6, 7-6(2), 7-6(3), 8-6. The American finished with a personal-best 35-12 mark (.745) in tie-breaks for the season.
* Unbeaten Roddick Leads U.S. to Davis Cup Title -- Andy Roddick posted a 6-0 Davis Cup record in leading the U.S. to its first Davis Cup title in 12 years as the Americans defeated Russia 4-1 in the final.
