Spend your summer outdoors while teaching tennis to girls aged 7-15 at Birch Trail Camp in Wisconsin. The Head Tennis Instructor/"Tennis Pro" oversees and manages the entire tennis program. Specific job responsibilities include leading group lessons, providing instruction during private lessons, designing lesson plans for instruction, supervising other tennis staff, organizing two in-camp tennis tournaments, and assisting in other areas of the camp program if needed. The Tennis Pro should have experience teaching tennis to children with different skill levels. Birch Trail campers have varying degrees of tennis exposure, including girls who have never picked up a racquet before to campers who play on high school teams. Applicants should have experience playing tennis on a competitive level. Prior management experience or supervisory experience is a plus.
Staff must be available from June 12-August 12, 2005. Salaries are very competitive with other campes and based on the applicant's experience. Compensation packages include room & board plus a travel stipend. The Tennis Pro also receives a substantial salary bonus for all private tennis lessons that he or she completes during the summer.
