so does anyone else find it odd that they wouldnt give venus a special seeding?

They did push her up a few places as she's ranked 33 now and is seeded 23, but I agree that I'm surprised she didn't get a higher seeding. Serena was about exactly where I thought she'd be seeded but Venus I thought would be around 12 or so.

i thought she got bumped up because of so many withdraws, not because of a special seeding. me confused.

She was bumped up 10 places was Venus but only a couple of players between her ranking and her seeding have withdrawn. They bumped her up about 8 places to what her seeding would have been.

soooo proud of serena! i really thought at rogers cup all of her time on court would catch up to her, but her last three matches were the best. she is going into cincy with so much confidence and that, more then anything else, is what should scare the rest of the field.

Now, I am a little concerned about Serena after watching her play today at Cincinnati. She struggled to move and it looked as if she was sore and her muscles aching.

I DO hope she will pull it, and win tomorrow, but she has to play very good to beat Stosur, otherwise she is going to lose.
