NFL HoF nominiees
« on: January 16, 2008, 08:06:26 AM »
Chris Carter and Darrell Green top the list of nominees to the NFL Hall of Fame.
Carter is the guy I would stick to like glue if I was Pac Man Jones or Mike Vick. He is a guy who was a highly touted rookie in Philidelphia and got in to and out of trouble his entire carrer there. Finally the Eagles had enough of him and he was traded to Minnisota in disgrace. He took that to heart and turned his life around. It can be done. Green was one of the best corners in NFL history. Still playing good football after 20 years in Washington.
Other nominees in clude Derrick Thomas (a dominating linebacker who looked like a Hall lock, but died in a car crash), Randal McDaniel, Ray Guy, Art Monk, Andre Reed, and Gary Zimmerman.
Sombody's got to put the punter in. Ray Guy was awsome!

Ray Guy   :)

I'm surprise Art Monk isn't in. I'm not enthrawalled with Carter. Darrell Green played 20 or 21 seasons as the fastest man in the NFL.  :worthy:

We've got a radio show host from OSU who does the same thing. You may know who he is, Micheal Holley. Constantly points out OSU grads; "A. J. Hawk from THE Ohio State University". This afternoon he got on a soap box about some highly touted High school QB who has been courted by all the big schools (I guess they can still be called schools). Penn State, Michigan, OSU, LSU. He's hitting all the high spots. Holley is begging him to go OSU.

Michael Wiley maybe?   :confused1:    I don't know Holley.

Can't think of that High School QB right now but OSU was supposedly leading the list............but then we just heard yesterday that he is also considering LSU!?

The recruit is Terrell Pryor.  He is supposedly the next Vince Young but better   But it sounds like he is going to go where ever Rich Rodriquez is...first WVU and now Michigan.

I don't know this Holley guy either.
I was at this casino minding my own business, and this guy came up to me and said, "You're gonna have to move, you're blocking a fire exit." As though if there was a fire, I wasn't gonna run. If you're flammible and have legs, you are never blocking a fire exit.  - Mitch Hedberg

Didn't graduate from OSU, he graduated from Point Park University. But he still is Ohio thru and thru, and constantly pumping OSU players.

All of those guys were great.  Ray Guy is NOT already in????  I guess maybe there's no room for punters?  If he's not in, then no other punter better be!
