Congratulations to Novak Djokovic on raiding the No.1 crown and Wimbledon trophy from the Federer-Nadal hit parade!! To all you fans of Serbia and Nole, I tip my hat!! Djoker is the Top Dog... This one's to all those who called Nole a 'choker' in NY '07!! Rafael is a class act, as always - in victory and in defeat.. What will the rest of the season have in store for these 2 men?

I agree with you.  I also noticed:

1. Outstanding backhand
2. Excellent forehand  (constantly pinned rafa to his backhand side with it)
3. Superb defense ( ball came back over and over again)
4. Some pretty good volleys too.


He had everything working today!!! Just brilliant!
I attribute some of the success off both wings and his defense to outstanding movement.  The BH was especially brutal!

He volleyed extremely well for someone who doesn't venture to the net often (no need to I guess!).

If you watch the match again, count how many times Raf guesses wrong on Nole's serve and hits a very defensive return.  From there Nole dictated.
The same pattern is evident when on Nole's ROS.  Quite often he was able to seize control of the point immediately.

Take note of how many times the normally sure-footed Nadal is caught off balance.
Nole then takes advantage of Raf's uncertainty by mixing in ROS winners out wide.  It would be an understatement to say that Nole is seeing the ball extremely well on the ROS.
