Are you seroius? Bummer for Agassi, he's playing so well.

And I was hoping to see him. I might be going to the final on Sunday.

I'm really pissed off about this. I'd been looking forward to the match all day, but I suppose that injury is always a possibility. The injury doesn't sound all that bad, so hopefully Agassi will be OK for Miami.

TimD, I can't play tomorrow -- I have a torn tendon in my ear.  Seriously, I can't play.  I should probably email...

It's fine. I think it's going to rain anyway. Plus, I need to rest my shoulder, it's been sore for a few days now. Maybe next weekend.

I predicted a Hewitt win, so IN YOUR FACE!

Seriously though, bummer indeed, what a match we will be deprived of!  I was hoping for a classic.
Good Luck on the Court!!!

Seriously, this guy can not get a break. He's come up against Federer in the quarters of every tournament he's played this year until this one. Now he's playing phenomenol tennis, the match with Coria was sick. He's beaten Hewitt the last two times they've played and BOOM! Swollen Toe!. WTF man....This is really going to test his patience. Had he not gotten that great win over Coria the other night, I think he'd seriously be down in the dumps right now. Hopefully he finds out that this is temporary and he can come back and storm Miami! At least until fed baby. Had Agassi been able to play against Federer like he did against Coria, that level of tennis, he would have had a chance to beat him.

LOL, his patience or yours.

I got a kick out of that post, but I agree with you.  :)  I am not sure why I found that so funny, maybe I was feeling your anger!

Oh yeah I'm definately POed!  :ranting:

My roomies can't stand it when Andre plays cause I scream more C'MON'S at the screen than Hewitt would in a 5 setter at the Australian Open that went to 40-38 in the 5th set!

I told you all before I idolize Andre for his commitment to his fitness and the game. I don't think I'd lose as much weight as I have if it were'nt for his inspiration. BTW im down to 215lbs.....thats 45 total pounds lost since last may. Andre is my inspiration and as far as tennis is concerned he's my hero. He's the underdog now....no one expects him to win another slam, but I believe he can....if he could ONLY GET A BLOODY BREAK!

EAT IT HEWITT, YOU LUCKY DOG! I hope Roddick spanks you, and if he doesn't FED will!

Think, I'll get out of the prediction business, Scott.

I never expected this and I too was hoping for a great match.

It's more likely that Roddick will get a spanking from Hewitt. I just want to see who Federer will spank in the final, that is if he makes it there. Canas is undefeated against Federer!

Apparently his big toe has swelled to twice its normal size (!), so he is looking a bit doubtful for Miami and that would be quite a loss for him, because the conditions there really suit his game.

Unbelievably, that was the first time in 1,092 matches (his entire career) that Agassi had failed to at least start a tennis match. He had never before pulled out in the middle of a tournament.

Says a lot about him. Clearly this wasnt a smaller injury. Toe probs are hard to deal with cause usually you cant do anything to them. Thats gotta suck. Well Hewitt i hope will beat Andy if Andy wins and i hope he''ll lose if Moya wins.

I hope Andres good for Miami. I might go and hes on the top of my list of players to see.
Its all good...

I watched Agassi in Cinncy in 2004.  The crowd show him mad respect.  Fish comes out and they cheer loud, I was like, "nice, showing Fish mad respect".  Then they announced Agassi and he shows up.  And what I thought was mad respect for Fish turned out to be "sad" respect for Fish, because the place friggin shook when they cheered for Agassi.
Good Luck on the Court!!!

I agree Andre has really matured into something of level.

I am too saddened that Andre didn't get to test his guns against the field and take a chance at dropping Fed. He's been losing to him like crazy lately and I am sure he wants to avenge himself with the kinda tennsi they played at the US Open. I hope he gets better because I pray he plays as well as he did against Coria well into the FO.
