Topic: Dude, where's my car (Snow report)

Still plenty of snow here and it continues to come down.  My car looks pretty funny with all of the snow on it.  I had to shovel a path down the driveway for my daughter to go to her friends 2 doors down.  Here are some photos we took while we were out.  Enjoy...

It's not a snowshoveller, it's a small spade  And is that your daughter's dolls house in the background Scott? Why's she left it out in the snow?

It's not a snowshoveller, it's a small spade  And is that your daughter's dolls house in the background Scott? Why's she left it out in the snow?

Its a swingset which would always be outside and looks like an outdoor playhouse kind of thing so it would stay outside also.

The news just said it is right around 15" and they thought it was a new record since they thought the old record was 14" in a day.   Nothing was fact though.

It looks like from your pics Scott, that the snow is very measurable at right around 12" but up here we are getting so much wind that some drifts are well over 2 feet and some areas are wind blown and not even 12".  Crazy stuff!    This really should have happened through the week so we could take some time from work.

I was talking about the top picture with the dolls house in the background. I assume it's a dolls house, looking at it next to Scott  

     Objects in the picture may appear larger if they are closer to you.   We have a phrase like that on our side mirrors on our cars!    I don't think I have ever been to Scott's house and was a little surprised at how close the houses are together.  I shouldn't be surprised though as many (make that most) neighborhoods in Columbus' sub-burbs have houses close together exactly like that!

The snow is supposed to stop this evening so I would think we would be okay to go by tomoorow evening.  We will see.

Boy - I think I'd die if we had that much snow.  We had a "trace" of snow yesterday morning (or the day before yesterday) in Dallas and it practically closed the entire city! I stopped at the grocery store to purchase some food and the lines were ridiculous!  Everyone trying to 'stock' up on food.  Then around 12:00 noon - all the snow was gone as it got into the 50's.  So much for closing the city!

If we had snow like that Scott - I think no one would get out of their houses at all!  We don't do snow well down here.  Heck, I don't even think we own a shovel!

It is really not that big of a deal.  By tomorrow or the next day all will be fairly normal.   What is with everyone going into survival mode due to a little bit of snow?

Lots of snow! Looks like a pretty normal snow storm for New England.

Wifey and I just went out and played in the snow for the last 3 hours!  She had her horse out, we had the dog out, and we went for a long hike out into the woods off behind our house.   It was very tough walking through foot and a half deep snow.   Watching the dog bounce through the snow was absolutely hilarious!   It was pretty cool!
