X-Men was nice and am planning on seeing Angels and Demons this weekend. That is my favorite Dan Brown book so I hope it is loads better than Dav Vinci Code. :)

I saw two great WWII movies: Boy in the Striped Pajamas and Schiendler's List. Both were excellent movies but SL was especially moving. A great movie and totally deserving of the title of a classic.

Yeah, I've got to see Angel & Deamons too! I love that stupid book  :rofl_2:

Iv seen Angel & Deamons, anyone wants can download here.

Off to see The Hurt Locker.

Found this thread buried on page 3. Last time someone updated this was May!

Anyone see The Hangover. I hear Zach Galifianakis steals the show. :thumbs-up:  I've got to see it...

I want to see A Woman in Berlin. Any movie based on 2nd World War is a must see for me. I think the story of this movie is quite fascinating. I also want to see (500) Days of Summer. Both are coming out next week I believe.

Just saw the The Hurt Locker. Not sure why my buddy wanted to see it, as it's a war movie and all. I think it has something to do with his desperate need to connect before becoming permanently immasculated--he's 43 and shockingly getting married Saturday. Anyway, it reminded me a lot of Gamorrah in that it was simulated documentary with an unknown cast. Well acted, interesting characters. If you like war movies, you should like this film.

Going to watch Public Enemies next week. As I really like every Bale movie (except for Terminator Salvation) and I think he's one of the best actors around these days, I'm expecting much from this movie! Anyone seen it already here (in the USA the release is always a bit earlier)?

I will let you know. In the meantime, I saw The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. Excellent stuff. It's about a German boy who meets a Jewish boy during WWII. It's not overwhelmingly sad yet has a very tragic ending. I simply loved it. I don't want to give out much but this story also has a side, where it shows how not every German felt the same way as the Nazis during that period of time, but at the same time, it shows again the extreme version of patriotism and the violence that occurs because of it. I am always baffled by people who say religion is the root of all evil when these very people are extremely patriotic to the point that, they don't mind giving up their lives for their country while killing other people of another country and it's supposed to be a good or noble cause - for both parties. It's a concept that's totally lost on me.

Then I saw Taken - yet another Hollywood garbage with a spoiled brat daughter who has a mind of a 12 year old, a most predictable annoying ex wife and her supposed "perfect" husband who's anything but perfect, and you have this obsessed father who goes on a killing spree in France, because his daughter was kidnapped there as soon as she arrives. Not to mention, he's an ex military man who is well equipped with all sorts of things and an utter showboat throughout the movie. After 20 minutes into the movie, I wanted to go for a walk but then again, it was after midnight and the cottage was almost in the woods, so didn't want to dare. Liam Neeson is completely wasted in the movie. It was all too predictable and in the end, you have to feel sorry for those other girls who were also kidnapped for prostitution, but of course, it's always about an American and predictably so, all the kidnappers were Middle Easterners. It left a bad taste in mouth. I usually don't watch this sort of junk but then again, I was with my friends and they are very much into it. They loved it - as usual.
